Tuesday... Bank robbers a block down the street from where I work, for no reason, shot a teller in the belly... she was 5 mos pregnant with twins!!! Yesterday, my neighborhood exploded with SWAT teams... A 34 year old man, catty cornered across the street from me decided to shoot his estranged, 24 year old wife in front of his 5 year old daughter and 6 mos old baby. The children survive, the mother it dead and the jackass went to jail after a 2 1/2 hour standoff with police. My youngest son woke up to a SWAT team officer pounding on the back door and telling him he had to get out of the area. I am convinced the whole world has just gone nuts. Live is one big ole boondoggle. I am greatful that the police were right there on it, very professional and ended the situation without further loss of life. But my neighborhood used to be just quiet suburbia.

Lyle... you got a point. I do think in Indiana, if someone shoots or stabs a pregnant woman and the "fetus" dies, they try them for "manslaughter". Kind of telling isn't it. The teller was Peruvian, and they flew her family members up here. That attack was completely unprovoked and I think that is what got to me so much. I feel we need to CHANGE how we view the disabled.


Why should Americans who want to speak freely feel hindered by the guilt associated with punching members of the wheelchair-bound community?


Free speech is a sacred right that has to be protected no matter how many disabled people have to be punched in the process.
