John McCain Endorsing Obama?

I have made every effort to stop detesting John McCain. Now I give up.

The Republican Party of North Carolina is running this perfectly reasonable ad:

The point is clear: Barack Obama is closely associated with creepy fanatics who hate this country intensely. Therefore, it would not be wise to elect the kind of idiots who endorse him.

Reflexively pandering to the leftist media, McLame has denounced the ad, demanding that it not be run, even while admitting that he hadn't seen it. As if he himself were endorsing O'Bigot, Lettuce appears to support the notion that any criticism of Obama or his despicable associates constitutes "racism."

If McMaverick doesn't manage to lose the election, it won't be because he didn't try.

I'm no McCain fan but I see it as a shrew move to make him look like "the nice guy." He knows the party will still run the ad, anyhow. The voters want less negative campaigning and he is playing along.

Wise up, Obama. You are responsible for the actions of everyone you know. Whatever they might say, it's you that has to answer for them.

And you, McCain, don't think we don't remember you campaigning for GWBush in 2004. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR EVERYTHING HE'S DONE.

And ALL OF YOU -- Obama, McCain, Clinton -- you all associate with Senators that say stupid things and take irresponible actions. Shame on you.

Don't keep friends that don't agree with you 100 percent. Or else you're no better than them.

WRITE IN QUAYLE '08 -- NOT EVEN MY BROTHER'S A KEEPER

Mr Quayle, I couldn't agree more.

Mr. McCain's rejection of the ad placed by the North Carolina Republican Party is a thin attempt to get the NCRP's ad placed on the air for free multiple times a day when featured on news reports.

It's a despicable bit of subterfuge that I would never condone if anyone in an independant Democrat Party office did it.

Boy, I sure HOPE no one in an independant Democrat Party office puts up a damning ad about Mr. McCain. That would be terrible.

I'm totally serious, don't do that, guys.

We have to stop judging our candidates on the basis of who they are and what they believe.

We have to start believing in how they feel and what they HOPE we can do as a nation.

VOTE OBAMA '08 -- I HOPE WE CAN STOP THE PLAYA HATIN'

Anyone who votes against Braaaack is a racist. Just ask any of his supporters. And if he looses it will prove the US is a racist nation, full of typical white people - just ask any of his supporters.

I just saw McCain on TV wailing and prattling about how terrible and wrong the NC republicans are. McCain has now effectively derailed his entire campaign for the week by bleating about a perfectly fine ad from his own party. The man is a complete joke. The guys on FOX News are asking right now whether he's gone "starkraving mad".

Simply put, there is something wrong with McCain.

I think it's brilliant.

Obama is running as the "new" politician who won't stoop to lies and dirty tricks, and yet here's McCain who denounces anyone who runs a negative ad. McCain knows that those ads will get run anyway, but by doing this he gets the added benefit of claiming the moral high ground on Obama when morality is about all Obama is running on.

Not only that, but by denouncing it, he causes attention to be drawn to it, while distancing himself from the tactic. It's not really clear if McCain is dumb, or just dumb like a fox...

That's exactly why I'm taking my "bitter white Bible thumping, gun toting, racist arse" to the polls on primary election day, asking for a Democrat ballot, and voting for hiii...hiii...hiii... the Bitch!!! (with barf bag at my side!) Won't have much effect... but I'll feel better just voting against that empty suit!

Played brilliantly by McCain! He denounces an ad he has nothing to do with and no control over. What's that do?
1. Keeps him on the high road
2. Draws attention to the ad, which will continue to run regardless of what he thinks of it.
Outstanding!!!

If I didn't know better, I would say that these denunciations are a clever way to get national air time to what would otherwise be local ads. When the networks run the denunciation, they also run the ad, to show how evil it is supposed to be.

Im in the camp of those who say McCain doesnt really oppose the ads, hes just saying that to look good. Behind closed doors hes probably laughing up a storm over those ads.

Granted McCain is far from the ideal candidate but when I think of Shillary or Osama in the Whitehouse, all of a sudden he dont look so bad! He is a decent place holder until 2012. Hopefully he picks a good VP in the event he croaks - he aint no spring chicken.

Unless McCain dies before November 4, he is without a doubt the winner. I don't follow politics as close as most of you, but isn't this obvious? The "other" side will for higher taxes, come on, we are not a nation of pheasants or even birds name after poor people.
