Jimmy Carter Remains Clueless
As a diplomat, Jimmy Carter would make a good shopping cart wrangler. The latest on his trip to Syria to play footsy with Hamas terrorist Khaled Mashaal:
Just hours after former President Jimmy Carter trumpeted Hamas' agreement to let Israel "live as a neighbor," the same terrorist leader he met with face-to-face vowed not to recognize the Jewish state.
Jimmy the Dhimmi opines:
The present strategy of excluding Hamas and excluding Syria is just not working.
As opposed to Carter's strategy toward Iran, which worked out spectacularly — for the Islamic terrorist movement.
Someone needs to remind the Dhimmi that he has been out of office for decades, and his deranged policy decisions are no longer relevant. Unfortunately he retains the ability to lend propaganda support to terrorists, and to make our country look foolish.

On a tip from Wiggins.

Al Gore pouts and whines and splutters about how we all need to get more serious!!!
Mr Gore – hailed as the world’s leading green campaigner – said recent polls had found that while people rate climate change as a “serious problem”, some ranked it lower than clearing up dog mess.
the former US Vice President believes little has changed where it counts and the situation is even more urgent.

Its time for the DNC to throw ole Peanut Head under the bus.

I grew up in Ga and I met the Carters when I was 8 yo. Billy was nice. I didn't like Jimmy. I couldn't articulate what I thought of him at the time, but if I had the vocabulary then that I have now I would have used the phrase "pompous ass".

Off topic here, but the left column blogads features a story about "bike ride naked". I checked it out because the chick in the picture is kind of cute and I wanted to ogle her casabas, but there aren't any pics of her in the story. Damn!

So the Hamas guy has offered a conditional hudna. If Israel hands over Jerusalem and abandons all settlements they get a ten year truce during which time Hamas must prepare for battle. Islam only allows the ten years, then they are required to fight again.
Anybody think Carter knows what a "hudna" is? I doubt it. Frankly, I'd be surprised if McCain knew, and he's supposed to be the "national defense" tough guy.
I'm getting pretty annoyed about our "leaders" not even bothering to learn any of this crap. There's probably only a handful of Senators who know something as basic as what "hudna" means.

Im suprised that Hamas didnt throw Jimmy under the bus just for kicks.

Will someone please throw Al Gore under the bus? The biodiesel bus, of course. LOL!

Amazing how the press has picked up on Carter's baldfaced lie. To wit, this article on FOX News right now:
"Carter: Hamas Willing to Accept Israel as 'Neighbor Next Door in Peace'"
Then there's the fine print...it's not peace, it's a hudna (10 year truce), and to get to it Israel has to withdraw to the '67 lines and let in 4.5 million refugees.
And then there's Hamas saying minutes after Carter's lie that they will NEVER recognize Israel.
And yet the press reports Carter's deceptions as actual news.
Sad.

what is even more scary is MSN and NBC and CBS referring to jimmy carter as president carter, not former president carter, but actually referring to him as a current elected president.
Posted by: furballz at April 21, 2008 1:11 PM
Carter's cluelessness and stupidity has been constant for the past 32 years. The worst President of the 20th century has morphed into the worst ex-President of the 21st century.
Pathetic.

So, ya'll think Hamas, a legitimately elected government, is going someplace? that, eventually, we and the Israelis won't have to talk to them? That's not very reasonable.
As Moshe Dayan said:
"If you want to make peace, you don't talk to your friends. You talk to your enemies."
No justice, no peace.
Posted by: John at April 21, 2008 4:15 PM
No justice, no peace.
That cuts both ways, comrade.
And we've got the hardware and the military to back it up, if need be.

Ooooh, that Jimmy Carter burns my bacon.
What's he got (besides a Nobel Peace Price)?
Go Bush Go! Bomb Syria! Bomb Hamas!
WRITE IN QUAYLE '08 -- WILL BOMB FOR OIL
Iraq = 52nd State = Free Oil
Posted by: Dan Quayle at April 21, 2008 6:41 PM
Yup, that's the point. "No justice, no peace" does work both ways. That's its beauty.
Nice to know, though, that you like killing people. Personally, I've sworn off that.
Posted by: John at April 21, 2008 7:25 PM
I think many of these people (Like Carter) really believe that they can make a difference and 'bring peace' to the middle east. Well, it's just not going to happen, not now not ever. As long as islam wants to exterminate the Jews and possess the world, how can there ever be peace? This is a religious war, and God picks the winner...and personally I believe that as God is the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, I know who's side I'll be on!
Posted by: Aussie-John at April 21, 2008 7:53 PM
@ John - you may have sworn off killing people, Hamas hasn't though. As for talking to your enemy, how many "peace" summits has Israel participated in, trying its hardest to hand over the parts of the country the Palestinians supposedly are upset over, despite the fact those concessions put its own national security at serious risk.. Only to have whichever Palestinian group is in charge at the time walk away from the table and start lobbing more rockets over the border.
Why can't liberals grasp the simple fact that Hamas, the PLO, Fatah, nor any other Palestinian ruling body that has existed to date, wants peace with the Jews or has ever done so?
Just like Carter, you're wilfully blind to the massive amount of concessions Israel makes and the even greater concessions it *tries* to make on a constant, regular basis. And wilfully blind to the fact that the Palestinians have time and time again been asked to meet Israel in the middle, and have responded with violence and terrorism.

@ Steven - I've heard that there are other sites on teh internet that feature naked women, keep trying and I'm sure you'll find some somewhere.. hehe
Posted by: mandible claw at April 21, 2008 8:04 PM
You can't argue with liberals. They simply replace your reality with theirs, and suddenly they have the moral high ground. Of course, they say we do the same thing, so what are you gonna do?
Posted by: monsterforge at April 21, 2008 8:22 PM
mc,
The pic of the girl juxtaposed with the pic of Dhimmi Carter with that stupid expression on his face struck me funny.
With tongue firmly in cheek I just wanted to put something silly and mindless in a post about someone silly and mindless...except he's also dangerous.
Posted by: steven at April 21, 2008 8:23 PM
Maybe we could use this as a model for our border woes - Mexico will declare a 10 year moratorium on illegal immigration if we withdraw to the border as it stood before the treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo and accept (another) 4.5 million refugees. Jimmy, I've found your next mission...

1960's hippies: All we are saying is, give peace a chance
their kids, the current misfits: No justice no peace, i.e. we will main and kill you unless we get what we want.
Funny how this "brotherly love" thing has panned out on the left.
You'll fit in nicely if you ever make a trip to Palestine. 51.7 % of Pals just surveyed said the strongly approve of launching missiles into Israeli civilian populations.
Or is that part of the "sorry, no peace until we get what we define as justice" theme.
Posted by: mega at April 21, 2008 10:21 PM
Its pretty hard to "talk to your enemy" when the only thing they will accept is your total annihilation.
Posted by: Anonymous at April 22, 2008 4:23 AM
Oh, if only we'd just talked to the Nazis. Wouldn't the world be a much better place if we hadn't stopped their world conquest? Okay, sarcasm off.

Y'all need to get out more. Most people are not violent. That includes most Muslims.
The way many of you argue, it seems the only solution is mass slaughter of Muslims. That's as crazy as the stuff that comes from the wildest Jihadi.
Really, situations in Gaza are so vile right now, violence is to be expected. Hamas is offering a truce, and only a fool would reject it. Israelis have killed far more Palestinians than the other way around--sometimes in brutal massacres that amount to war crimes--Shatila comes to mind.
Think of the I.R.A. Who would have thought thirty years ago that Ian Paisley and Jerry Adams would now be going on speaking tours together.
And, finally, as a U.S. citizen, I have to say that Israel is a secondary concern to me. I don't want my ass blown up because they won't make peace with the locals in their neighborhood.

"And, finally, as a U.S. citizen, I have to say that Israel is a secondary concern to me. I don't want my ass blown up because they won't make peace with the locals in their neighborhood."
It isn't Israel that refuses to make Peace!!! If you really believe that "most people aren't violent when talking about the Middle East, you have been sleeping in a cocoon John. No disrespect intended, as I would love nothing more than to live in "your world and reality" as it sounds simply lovely, but I know from listening to people who have lived within the Islamic world, such as Bridgette Gabriel, these people WON'T make peace with Israel, they want them all dead and then they will start working on wiping out Western cultures like US! I would like to see the source of your information on who has killed more of who. Radical Islamofascists will not be reasoned with and only want the death of all who don't believe as they do. They do not represent the majority of those who worship Allah, but the majority of the people who are believers in Islam are "Afraid of the extremists, and won't speak up! I wonder why?
Posted by: HoosierArmyMom at April 22, 2008 10:23 AM
Only a fool would accept the truce that Hamas is offering. Appeasement has never worked before and it won't ever work. As history shows, it only emboldens the terrorists.
Posted by: steven at April 22, 2008 11:57 AM
"A compromise" means that the strong only take from the weak SOME of what they want. They know that they can always come back tomorrow and "ask" for ANOTHER "compromise".
