Global Warming Charade Could Cripple Australia's LNG Industry
The Australian government having fallen to irresponsible Labor moonbats led by Kevin Crud is bad news for the liquified natural gas industry. The government's greedy carbon trading scheme foolishness will effectively add a massive tax to Australian LNG exports — stifling investment and driving customers into the arms of Australia's Muslim competitors in places like Indonesia and Qatar.
The carbon trading scheme, in whatever guise it takes, is likely to have an impact on most Australian LNG projects, said Stuart Baker, an analyst at Morgan Stanley in Melbourne.
"Most of the LNG schemes that have been proposed around the country are fairly heavy emitters of CO2 so they are going to have to deal that into their thinking," Baker said. "Just about everybody who has a project will have to start to think about capturing the CO2 and sequestering it," or storing the carbon dioxide underground, which is untested technology, he said.
Physically, CO2 is absolutely harmless; in fact, it is to plants what oxygen is to animals. But ideologically, liberals regard it as unclean, because of its role in discredited global warming theology. The price we pay for this absurd prejudice is likely to be staggering.

In other Australian news, Australian health experts suggest banning smoking, taxing junk food, and mandatory 'fitness' testing for all children born beginning next year. Presumably, they will also have to perform an hour of calisthenics in front of the telescreen.
