Eco-Kooks Punk Elle's Green Issue
If even a moonbat like Thomas Friedman is getting pies thrown at him by environmental extremists, it shouldn't be too surprising that they have also targeted Elle magazine. A phony retraction sticker has been placed in the magazine reading as follows:
Following consultation with federal agencies, we at Elle wish to retract this article. Not because of the stream of factual inaccuracies beginning in the second sentence (there has never been a CrimethInc. convergence in Athens, Georgia), but because in the current political climate it is irresponsible to even pretend to give a fair hearing to radical anti-capitalists. Even if Anna's story is a cut-and-dried case of entrapment, we have to understand this as a necessary defense of our free market freedoms. Not to say that we are not concerned about the environment at Elle. On the contrary, the global environmental crisis offers unprecedented opportunities to promote sustainable fashions (p. 98), give the meat industry a makeover (p. 245), and renew faith in this country's discredited electoral process (p. 104); even the color green itself is making a comeback (p. 72). Consumer capitalism may be threatening life on earth, but there's simply no other option—that is, not unless you're willing to join the ranks of the eco-terrorists.
Apparently the sticker is turning up in copies of Elle's "green issue" throughout the country, appearing on a piece about the eco-terrorism movement based on the story of a teenage FBI informant. Elle's parent company denies placing the stickers.
Let's be glad the kooks behind this are still pulling juvenile pranks instead of putting Zyklon-B in our water supply — which would be entirely consistent with the ideology of environmental extremists.

On a tip from Varla.

NEW YORK - Israel's ambassador to the United Nations on Thursday called former President Jimmy Carter "a bigot" for meeting with the leader of the militant Hamas movement in Syria.
Carter, a Nobel Peace Prize winner, "went to the region with soiled hands and came back with bloody hands after shaking the hand of Khaled Mashaal, the leader of Hamas," Ambassador Dan Gillerman told a luncheon briefing for reporters

The "peaceful" global warming alarmists are far more dangerous than the eco-terrorists. Witness what's happening to food supplies because of their push for biofuels.
The irony is that the alarmists have always claimed that global warming would be toughest on the world's poorest. Now we're just going to starve them to death to solve a phony problem.

Does anyone buy print magazines anymore, outside of airports that is?
"Consumer capitalism may be threatening life on earth." Hmmm, They also believe that human life on earth threatens life on earth.

Wesley Snipes going to Federal Pound You in the Ass Prison.
http://entertainment.timesonline.co.uk/tol/arts_and_entertainment/film/article3671886.ece
"The court heard yesterday that Snipes dodged $15 million (£7.5 million) in tax through a campaign in which he concealed millions offshore, falsely applied for tax refunds and bombarded the Internal Revenue Service with frivolous correspondence that threatened government employees, railed about extortion and used twisted legal interpretations to back his claim that taxation was unlawful.
“For nearly a decade, Snipes has engaged in a campaign of criminal tax conduct combining brazen defiance with insidious concealment,” the prosecuting attorney, Robert O’Neill, told the court in a sentencing memorandum. “In the defendant Wesley Snipes, the court is presented with a wealthy, famous and inveterate tax scofflaw. If ever a tax offender was deserving of being held accountable to the maximum extent for his criminal wrongdoing, Snipes is that defendant.”"

Now this is hilarious !
"But his belated contrition and celebrity failed to impress Judge Hodges, despite written pleas for leniency from 31 character witnesses including fellow acting stars Woody Harrelson and the Academy Award-winning Denzel Washington.
“Wesley is like a tree — a mighty oak . . . Many who know him have witnessed the fruit of his labours, have sat in his shade and even been protected by his presence,” wrote Washington. Harrelson called Snipes “a true citizen of the world” and said: “He strives for rightness in all his relations.” "
Wow, Denzel clearly has a man-crush on Snipes - MIGHTY OAK? And Woody has a major "woody" for Snipes CITIZEN OF THE WORLD? LOL! Now he will be a citizen of prison! Tee hee hee.

That is the single dumbest sentence I have ever read. The ELF is a non-violent movement that has never injured or killed any living creature. What a ridiculous, libelous statement. Do the morons who read these right-wing websites honestly believe lies like this?
