Demented Law Leaves Italy Open to Invasion by Children
Third World countries have seized on a typically moronic do-gooder law that forbids Italy from expelling minors to invade the country with flotillas of children, who arrive in leaky boats to land in the arms of the International Organization for Migration (IOM).
Peter Schatzer, the IOM's regional representative for the Mediterranean, said Italy was now caring for 7,000 minors, providing schooling and support at a cost of 200 million euros a year. 'It is an extremely costly exercise.' […] In 2007, 16,700 people arrived on the Italian islands of Sicily and Lampedusa. As many as 2,000 were unaccompanied minors.
The kids are expected to send money home. Often they serve as the European equivalent of anchor babies, establishing a foothold that allows the rest of the family to follow. The EU has a border patrol, called Frontex, but…
Frontex was more about search and rescue than returning people, Schatzer said.
Many illegal immigrants come through Libya, because it refuses all returns. Anyone who can't see where this is leading needs to read the prophetic book The Camp of the Saints by Jean Raspail.

Should be "prophecy" which is the noun. ("Prophesy" is the verb.)

I read "Camp of the Saints" a few years ago. Every time I read a story about the UK being overwhelmed by Muslim immigrants, I think of that book. Truth is stranger than fiction...
