CNN Founder: Global Warming Will Turn Us into Cannibals
Who better to interview on April Fool's Day than Ted Turner, the man who bequeathed CNN to the world. The Mouth from the South shared his wit and wisdom with PBS's Charlie Rose.
On not taking drastic, potentially depression-inducing action to curtail the nonexistent phenomenon of global warming:
Not doing it will be catastrophic. We'll be eight degrees hottest in ten, not ten but 30 or 40 years and basically none of the crops will grow. Most of the people will have died and the rest of us will be cannibals.
According to Turner, global warming will cause civilization to break down, as will "hanging on to our nuclear weapons" and failing to "stabilize the population" — a phrase that sounds particularly ominous coming from a lunatic who apologizes for the Stalinist regime in North Korea. According to Turner there are "too many people." Evidently some of us will have to go; I don't think he's volunteering himself, but he would probably volunteer you if he had the chance.
Turner also praised the al Qaeda and Iranian-backed terrorists killing our troops and attempting to abort democracy in Iraq are "patriots." Here's the audio.
That a guy this crazy could be a media titan tells you all you need to know about the industry.

On a tip from V the K.

Good one Anon. lol:D
This guy is a seriously deranged person. I so wish they would apply their own hair-brained policies to their own lives first but nooooo, they are far to good for that. They know better than everyone else. C'mon Ted, population control, you can do it!!! Be a real man and take the first step. Show us ignorant people the way!
PS> Please take Al Gore with you!

It was noted in the article that Turner was noted as the "Mouth of the South." He certainly not noted as tbe Brains of the South.

Hey Ted - eat me!
Posted by: Bandit at April 2, 2008 11:27 AM
Fortunately in 30 or 40 years, Mr. Turner will likely no longer be with us and so no one will be reduced to having to nosh on his stringy hide.

"vonster at April 2, 2008 10:08 AM"
Hughes never advocated communism, or depopulation, nor did he preach that "rich people" were evil (Except himself).
Turner was preaching "depopulation to save the planet" back in the ninties, just take a look at a couple of his "Captain Planet" cartoons.

Ep 5-13: Numbers Game

Can you get "Mad Human" disease from eating a free-range moonbat after society collapses? My understanding is that you're running a risk of such diseases if you eat the animal's brains, which, in the case of a moonbat, isn't a large risk...

I remember when this unreformed alcoholic predicted in '96 that CNN would "squash Fox like a bug." He was obviously drunk when he said that back then.
Looks like this atheist sh**head who threw Jane F. out of the house when she found Jesus is still raving batsh** ca-raaazy! Or still three sheets to windward. The only thing this moron could find is white powder that would clear up his "thinking."
And last time I checked, Fox had three times the viewership of his Cable News & much more than his other news operation. He was lucky he bought the Cartoon Network to keep his financial head above water. Now that was something he could understand, as cartoons are what goes on between this loon's ears!
OBTW, the grifter still hasn't paid that billion simoleans he promised the UN. What a fraud!!!

Captain Planet is a mouthpiece of Greensane propaganda. Looking back at those cartoons I wtched as a kid, I realize how Moonbatty it really is.
Case in point: The episode where the moral is that if Jews and Arabs just realized that they have the saem prophets and holy places, they'd all get along.
BWAHAHAHAAHAHHAAH!!!! TOTAL NOOB!!!!!
Thank the Power Rangers his ratings are zilcho now, or we'd be treated to Saturday morning Captain Anti-Global Warming cartoons.
"Political agenda! Non-science! Smearing skeptics! Bullyign governments! World socialism!"
"By your hypocrisy combined, I am the IPCC!"

Everywhere I go that news is on, its usually FOX but never CNN.
The only place I have seen CNN is in the news.
McDonalds, bars, the gym I workout at always plays FOX.
Did anyone see the parent on the Today show this morning that blamed the schools for the plot made by 3rd graders to kill that teacher?

I hated most of the cartoons of the "enlightened" era of children's programming. I was always a Jonny Quest fan, even thought it was produced a bit before my time. Thank God it was, or Ted's minions would have Jonny and crew saving the planet from farting cows. Bleh.
