Australian Paper Banned Criticism of Idiot Hour
Even the lefties at Australia's The Age are getting fed up with being ordered to limit their reporting to propaganda that supports the global warming hoax.
The liberal paper's parent company Fairfax Media teamed up with the antihuman loons at the World Wildlife Fund to promote the guffaw-inducing Earth Hour PR campaign, which featured such absurd gestures as Google using a black background and The Age printing its Sunday edition an hour late. Age reporters were commanded to participate by not saying anything critical of the whole farce; to their credit, they resented it.
At a meeting on the editorial floor with editor-in-chief Andrew Jaspan, the natives got restless:
Some staff were openly hostile towards Jaspan, and at times interjected as he spoke. At a subsequent stop-work meeting, staff passed a resolution saying recent developments had undermined the separation between commercial considerations and editorial independence.
In a statement accompanying the resolution, staff said the Earth Hour partnership placed basic journalistic principles in jeopardy: "Reporters were pressured not to write negative stories and story topics followed a schedule drafted by Earth Hour organisers."
It's nice to know someone in the MSM still remembers the concept of basic journalistic principles.

Once again:
"We tried to warn you Liberals, but you wouldn't listen!"

Aussies grow up with an outdoors ethic, we grow up swimming in the ocean and trampling round the bush in 40 degree heat, we don't get fooled easily about nature. That includes the climate warming up because our cars burned gasoline. Australia will be the last bastion against moonbattery, sure there are moonbats galore there but no-one listens to them and there's a healthy undercurrent of sanity that keeps moonbattery in check..
