Since We Won't Drill Our Oil, Cuba Will
Sick of high gas prices? Don't blame the oil companies or even the Arabs. Blame moonbats:
Soon there will be rigs 45 miles off the coast of Florida tapping into oil and gas reserves nearly as large as those contained in a tiny frozen part of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. But the rigs will belong to Hugo[ Chavez]'s friend and ally, the Cuba of Fidel and Raul Castro.
The U.S. Geological Survey estimates that the North Cuban Basin contains as many as 9.3 billion barrels of oil (multiply by $100 plus) and almost 1 trillion cubic feet of natural gas.
Thanks to an agreement negotiated by Jimmy Carter that splits the 90 miles of water between the U.S. and Cuba for economic purposes, it will not be exploited by us. Since pools of oil do not respect international boundaries, Cuban rigs will be sucking dry oil that rightfully should be ours.
We don't extract the oil ourselves for the same reason we don't use the zillions of gallons waiting in the ANWR wasteland: environmental extremists dictate our energy policy.

On a tip from baldeagle390.

Look...
What you Neocons don't understand is that you have to protect the fragile ecobalance on Mother Earth. Drilling for oil in ANWR would harm that delicate balance...and further, would rob future generations of the ability to visit and observe ANWR in all its natural beauty:

Nigel will never ever bitch about China or Russia fuckin' up the environment with all thier pollution because with EkoFreakTwats like Nigel, ideology trumps the enviro card. It's classic double standard. 20 bucks says there's a Che shirt Nigel's his closet.

Mother Earth? I worship Father God, not Mother Gaia.
Posted by: Kristy at March 24, 2008 11:58 AM
The actual drilling area in ANWR is tiny. ANWR is the size of South Carolina. The area they want to explore on is the size of a large farm. Furthermore, the drilling area is a hell-hole. It's a frozen mud flat in winter and a mosquito farm in the summer.
Also, drilling can be and is conducted in an environmentally responsible manner, with minimal environmental impact. It would also be of great benefit to the indigenous people, because schools, hospitals, and community facilities would be built with the proceeds from oil royalties. (Lefties, of course, want indigenous peoples kept down.)
The only reason we don't drill in ANWR is because of brainwashed idiots in the Cult of Gaia worship. Like John McCain, for example.

Nigel,
Don't you ever watch Star Trek dude?
"The needs of the many outweight the needs of the few."
Your grandkids could got check out the Gallapogos Islands for all I care.

Think of it this way, is there anywhere on Earth where moonbats approve of oil exploration? No. From this we can conclude that moonbats objectively hate modern civilization, or think we can run modern civilization on magickal faerie dust.
The dopes should stop using computers. They're made of oil (plastics), they run on electricity (evil), and they are transported to the user through the use of oil-burning vehicles. Anyone who "truly cares" about the environment should stop using the internets IMMEDIATELY! Gaia is crying.

Boy, you Neocons need to settle down a little.
Have you tried driving Hybrids? They even have solar powered cars now!
And my Che Guevara shirt is at the cleaners right now.
The ANWR preserve is a beautiful natural habitat. And you all would ruin that for a little oil.
(wink)

Actually V I think it's called FM. That's how modern technology works,FM. Fucking Magic.
Posted by: Farmer Ted at March 24, 2008 12:31 PM
Nigel, then yer Che shirt is fuckin' up the environment by using all those poisonous chemicals at the dry cleaners. and hybrid cars pollute more because the batteries are an enviro nightmare to dispose of and manufacture. Wasn't there a thread here about that a week or so ago, nickel mining messing up mommy gaia? ANWR was bought from Russia specifically for oil drilling.
Posted by: Bryherb at March 24, 2008 12:55 PM
"And how do you suggest they get there, Nigel?"
That's a good question. Maybe Nige' thinks he can get there in his solar powered car. Good luck with that.
Moonbats seem to think our standard of living, along with its vacations to exotic places and expensive "green" technologies, is something that came about for free and will also be around indefinitely.
It didn't, and it won't. Especially if they get their way in shutting down or inhibiting any activity that might be useful or productive.

Geez Bryherb, try to be a little less vitriolic. You sound like Dick Cheney on a goose hunt...
You make a good point about the hybrids though. Me? I ride a bicycle or use mass transit because unlike you, I care about the environment.
And I don't "dry clean" my Che shirt...you are right about those harmful chemicals. I take my laundry down to this nice little undocumented immigrant lady down the street who hand washes everything using vegetable glycerin and lilac petals.
C'mon...anyone?
Here's a clue (since y'all missed the very first one):

Did you guys actually look at the picture to which Nigel linked? He's pulling your legs and you are falling for it. Where is the conservative sense of humor I've come to enjoy everywhere, but especially on this site.
He's kidding. The (wink) should be a clue.

Thanks Richard...the grand prize of a fish taco platter from Rubios is YOURS for finally calling me out.
If you are ever in San Diego, I WILL present you with the prize.
Now off to Rubios in my Hummer. I'll even try to run over a few hippies on the way...
Posted by: Nigel at March 24, 2008 1:50 PM
NIGel, What's makes you think I don't care about the environment? You have prejudged me. I just refuse to live in a mud hut and burn cow dung to keep warm as The Goracle would have me do if he were in charge. I try everyday to make my carbon footprint small but I have every right to make one as a living being on God's earth. Why don't we go hunting sometime? I got this nice furry bear coat you can wear to keep you warm! Now, Do I amuse you like a clown you fuckin' fuck? I so wanna flatten some field hippies in NIGel's Hummer on our hunting trip!

Nigel - dipwad -
Have you ever been to ANWAR?
I have. MANY times.
There IS NO BEAUTY TO OBSERVE in the tiny, tiny region where the oil is, you ignorant bastard.

Uh Jimbo?
DUH!
Go back to the first comment and read it again. All of it. Including the link at the bottom (this is VERY important).
Then click on my name and look at the 2nd post.
Then go back and read Richard C's comment.
We cool now?

Okay Nigel,
You have my permission to slap me hard and call me stupid.
But only once.
While at work I don't have time to check links and read between the "winks". (I just thought you were looking for a "date".)

(I just thought you were looking for a "date".)
Hah!
Of course if I were so inclined, I'd be trolling at a liberal site...
Van Helsing emailed me something that sums all this up:
Moonbats are so absurd that you can't spoof them without people thinking you're a moonbat yourself and on the level.
I found that out in spades today...
Glad you don't think I'm a total tool, Jimbo..

Van’s right!
You know; ever since Carlos showed up and claimed polar bears don’t stalk people for nourishment, I’ve not been surprised by the liberal brain – or lack there of.
I actually liked Carlos – he really, really does love every critter that walks, flies, or swims (he thinks) but he doesn’t really seem to hate humans – I think he loves everything that breaths. He’s very sincere – just sincerely wrong. I didn’t have the heart to tell him that brown bears also stalk people – not necessarily for food; but for the fun of the kill. (Big cats do that, too.) My dad had a brownie stalk him on Kodiak Island back when I was a little tike and we were living on Sitkinak Island. After he cleaned the crap out of his drawers he swore off bear hunting for ever.
Anyhow – as I said – Van’s right; there’s been such an influx of dipshits lately – I just assumed you were one. Knee jerk made a jerk out of me.
Again, my apologies, to you and the board for not actually reading before I reacted. We're better than that, here.

And let that be a lesson to all you knee jerk bastards out there!

It was called "The Treaty of the Seas" and the Senate and House passed it a few months back. I had wrote both my Senators and Congressmen before it passed expressing my concern for giving away America's Sovereignty once again and giving access to areas we had always been able to protect for American interests. Sentator Lugar sent me a snail mail letter saying that the reason he voted for it was to give our shipping and military rights to negotiate through waterways in the Middle East and throughout the world. I wasn't aware we had any problems going where ever we wanted? Now because that treaty went through after fighting it for so long, Hugo Chavez, Cuba and China will team up and drill off our shores in ANWR and other places that our moonbats in government have been protecting from our evil oil companies!!! Our Oil Industry is regulated and watched. Now we have the country that has managed to expose our children to lead poisoning, and two countries who's leaders hate us, and you don't think that spells disaster???? These incompetants aren't going to care if there is an oil spill, and they certainly won't be paying for any clean up if they do spill... I will not forget that Lugar and Bayh voted for this. Bayh is the one that surprised me.
Posted by: HoosierArmyMom at March 25, 2008 8:00 AM
Bayh is a liberal Dem, I mean't Lugar is the surprise in the whole thing.

Nigel
After 70+ years on this planet--I am dismayed to see that the total count of idiots is the same and probably always will be so long as you procreate. What a twit.
I am reminded of an acquaintance of mine who went to Alaska last year. He witnessed the melting of some snow shelves and told me it was very evident that Global Warming was really harming our planet. I asked him how the melting he saw compared to previous years and he replied that he had never gone there before.
I think his name was Nigel!

On another message board, the topic turned to the enviroment. A hard core liberal wrote that America was the worst poluter in the world. I replied that the USSR had the worst enviromental record in history and she wrote a post that I can never forget for it's insanity:
"I know that, but America is still the worst offender."
In Liberals LaLa land, the United States is guilty, NO MATTER WHAT.
As for the hard core Liberal, she was banned after admitting that she posted insulting remarks on the site just to see what the reaction of the "Souterhn conservative mind" would be.

I am so sick of the socialist liberals constantly acting like there is something wrong with America... constantly, constantly, constantly... yet there are literally millions here illegally, those that risked everything to come here and still they can show NO LOYALTY... but yet they won't remove themselves! How crazy is that?
