It's never a surprise anymore when people who berate Christians do so with Old Testament examples. The reason is simple: they can't find Bible verses and examples from the New Testament (the Testament of Christianity) to back up their typical claims.

Glad to see you post on this. I saw the episode and was stunned. Even for Law and Order, which has become an Al Jazeera sitcom in the past 2-3 years. The episode starts with L&O's usual red herring where a woman is stoned and everyone thinks it's Moslems, except everyone's wrong - that's the standard opening for every episode of L&O now - tricking people into feeling racism toward Islam that turns out to be completely unwarranted and unfair. Next, we're treated to something that has not happened in at least 900 years and possibly ever - a secretive camp of Christians indoctrinating children to become killers in the name of their god. Next, we get a trial in which the insane Christian explains that they need to kill because the other religion (Islam) is against them. And finally, we get an acquittal because the backward racist jury sides with the insane killer Christians. It was like a perfect trifecta of moonbattish bleating about how confused and unfair we are toward Islam and how the enemy is within.

The weird thing about this particular episode is that if they just inserted Moslems into the plot instead of Christians, they'd have a story that is playing itself out, for real, a thousand times a day, all over the globe.

One thing in favor of this episode - no crazy killer Jews where we expected Moslems, this one time. That was a bit refreshing.

L&O is hopelessly lost in the swamp of moonbattery.

L&O, suffering from writers block and lack of originality, hires Rosie O'Donnel on board in an act of desparations.

You know, I like the show but I'm really friggin sick of them not being able to get thru an episode without making some offhand dig at conservatives or basically anything to the right of Ted Kennedy.

BTW, Ms. Merkerson seems to be Rev Wright's kind of lady off the show.

P.S. I loved how all the stereotypical psycho Christian monsters referred to Muslims as "Infidels." Strange, in real life, I've always seen it to be the other way around. The only time I've ever known Christians in real life to use that term is when they quote Muslim fundamentalist leaders who said it to inspire hatred of Christians or Jews.
But of course, NBC would never even think of showing that on an episode because it wouldn't be very P.C., and they'd stand an excellent chance of having a death warrant put out on them.

I got through about half of that six-minute clip, and decided I'd rather keep my dinner down than continue watching. L&O's story lines became about as subtle as a dump truck full of bricks about five years ago, and I quit watching.

Fundamentalism - whether christain or muslim is B-A-D. It will drag us back to the middle ages.
