Pink Dog Causes Problems with the Law in Boulder
Posted by Dave Blount at March 11, 2008 8:06 AM
In Boulder, Colorado — the moonbat enclave where pets are officially regarded as "companion animals" — a woman is being fined $1,000 for oppressing her poodle by dyeing it pink.
Joy Douglas's adorable Cici is a "breast-cancer awareness dog," thus the pink dye job. But not even preventing breast cancer is noble enough to excuse the barbaric practice of dog-dyeing.
Authorities have been using a section of the city code intended to prevent the dyeing of chicks and bunnies for Easter to prosecute her for staining Cici's fur with beet juice and Kool-Aid. Police would probably be happy to forget the whole thing, but concerned citizens keep calling to complain.
Horrifyingly, Cici does not seem to mind being dyed pink.
