Palestinians Celebrate Terrorist Massacre

Posted by Dave Blount at March 7, 2008 1:55 PM

Good thing George Bush has been showering Palestinians with our money. With no need to work, they have plenty of free time for celebrations whenever innocent infidels are murdered by terrorists. Here they are living it up following last night's attack at Mercaz Harav yeshiva that killed eight students in Jerusalem, via Free Republic:

One more Palestinian party shot:

The AP caption for the last one reads:

Syrians and Palestinians, including representatives of the Damascus-based radical Palestinian factions, on Friday, March 7, 2008, wave flags and images of late George Habash, the founder of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, during a commemorative celebration in Damascus in honor of the deceased who passed away 40-days ago.

But the face on the flag doesn't look much like George Habash. Where have I seen it before?

Oh yeah.

Palestinians had the same reaction to 9/11.

Jonathan Kay comments:

I don't know that there is any more telling sign of the pathologized state of Palestinians society than that they see the targeted slaughter of children as an occasion for celebration. (And please: No letters accusing me of a double standard because I am not equally outraged by the (equally tragic) deaths of Palestinian children in Israeli counter-terrorism operations. Morally speaking, you cannot compare the deliberate targeting of students with the accidental death of children who have been seized upon as de facto human shields by Hamas terrorists.)
According to one report, an organization calling itself "the Martyrs of Imad Mughniyeh" took responsibility for the attack. If so, the symbolism is even more telling. Think about it: The Israelis eliminate one of the world's most deadly terrorists in a surgical strike that kills no one but the target. So the militant extremists from the Religion of Peace respond by … slaughtering students.
The hero here is Yitzhak Danon, a student at the yeshiva, who apparently had the honour of shooting the murderer. I guess the only good news to come out of this story is that this departed specimen from the Palestinians' crack al-Quds student-killer brigade was only one-quarter as competent as a mentally unstable Virginia campus shooter named Seung-Hui Cho.

Actually, the good news is that Israelis are permitted to defend themselves:

A seminary graduate who is an army officer and lives nearby rushed into the seminary with his weapon and killed the gunman, [seminary head David] Simchon told Israel Radio.
"He saw the terrorist shooting, and with amazing resourcefulness he went into one of the rooms and managed to kill him," he said. Police said the seminary graduate was assisted by another man who also shot the Palestinian.
The seminary serves some 400 high school students and young Israeli soldiers, and many of them carry arms.

Too bad only the bad guys have guns at places like Northern Illinois University and Virginia Tech.

How did Palestinian culture get to be so undeniably vicious and depraved? Three major factors have contributed:

  1. Islam, which assures them that being violent Muslims means they're always in the right, no matter what they do.
  2. A victim mentality, which assures them that being losers means they're always in the right, no matter what they do.
  3. Western moonbattery, which assures them that they can continue to live off free handouts, no matter what they do.
