New York Times Credit Rating Approaching Junk Status

It looks like sacrificing even the semblance of professionalism for the sake of moonbat ideology hasn't been a winning strategy for the New York Times:

The New York Times Co.'s continued struggles with declining advertising revenue prompted Standard & Poor's to caution Friday that it is inching closer to cutting the company's debt ratings.
S&P said it placed all of the Times' ratings, including its key long-term corporate credit rating, on CreditWatch with negative implications. In plain English, that means the rating agency is leaning heavily toward a downgrade unless current financial trends at the company improve.
S&P currently assigns the Times a long-term corporate credit rating of BBB. A one-notch downgrade would bring the rating down to BBB-. But in a research note Friday, S&P credit analyst Emile Courtney warned that a possible downgrade "may not be limited to one notch."
That would drop the Times' long-term rating to BB+ or worse, which would leave it at sub-investment grade, or junk.

Junk status would bring the Times' credit rating in line with its journalistic standards under Publisher Pinch Sulzberger, the left-wing weenie who has been steering the formerly respected paper toward bankruptcy in the name of moonbattery.

You can see why moonbats want everything socialized. The free market is not kind to fools.

I tried lining a bird cage with the NY Slimes once.

Damn bird bit me.

For the Slimes, it looks to be about 2 hours and 35 minutes after hitting the iceberg and the water is over the bow and rising. When they finally go nose down it will be good riddance as they slip ignominiously into journalistic hell.

Ouch. Money talks and Moonbat bullshit walks, away from any profits in this case.

In a couple of years, there will be some Stanford MBA making a case study out of the NYToons with the title of 'What the hell did they expect.'

All you'all Moonbats better remember something you poo-poo all the time. There is a middle America with some voting clout (and a high % of firearm ownership) that you under estimate every day.

Let's youse in on a little secret, some of us moved into your town and live right next to you.

Don't come a knocking on my door the next time there is a big crisis and the power is out, or worse. All you will get is a severe case of power burns and ventalation of the torso.

Ok, now I feel better.

I can't think of a stinking rag sheet that deserves bankruptcy and ruin more. I hope McCain adds more to the pile of poop they are sinking into by suing their worthless butts!

I doubt their financial troubles have much/anything to do with their left-wing focus, more like the problems with classified advertising as it moves to the Internet. Lots of right-wing and neutral papers are struggling too, and disappearing. However, it's fun and satisfying to think they are being punished in some karmic way for their anti-Americanism.

The Times is ridden with neocon filth anyway.

Neocons are like roaches. Once you're infested with one, they'll find ways to gather and multiply.

I just read somewhere that less than 10% of Americans get their news from the print media (sorry...too lazy to find the link). While I have no love for the NYT, perhaps it is more that Americans just don't want to read anymore.

How far left do you have to be to see the the NYT as center right?

Real far left... all the way to the funny farm it would seem.
