Moonbat Mob Assails 84-Year-Old Veteran at Karl Rove Speech

As is usually the case when anyone to the right of Vladimir Lenin speaks at a college campus, militant leftists attempted to silence Karl Rove when he appeared at the University of Iowa Sunday.

Tactics were typically infantile. Moonbats hollered and booed, stood with their back to the podium, etc. Some had to be removed by police after charging the stage, screaming that the mild-mannered Fox News analyst and former Bush political advisor should be arrested for apparently unspecified political crimes.

Rove easily got the better of the witless vermin, keeping his cool while insisting on his right to be heard.

More infuriating even than the attempt to silence political speech was the fascistic moonbats' treatment of 84-year-old veteran Bill Olin, who was told to "F--- off" when he asked the mob to stop shouting. Laments Olin:

I've lived in Iowa City more than 60 years, and I have never been more ashamed than I am tonight of the disrespect shown by these people.

We owe it to Mr. Olin to see that some trace of the country he fought for can be kept alive.

Once again, Rove outwits his moonbat opponents.

“Other antiwar protesters prepared for Rove's talk by gathering at a local restaurant to share original musical remonstrations, mostly inspired by 1960s protest songs by the likes of Bob Dylan and Pete Seeger.”

Wow! They are serious about this. I wonder what’s next? Petitions? A letter writing campaign?

“Rove took on the audience of roughly 1,100 - telling a woman who yelled that that UI wanted the $40,000 speaking fee they paid back, simply, "You can't have it."”

Good one.

For the record, I don't like Karl Rove. Most of the worst mistakes of the Bush Administration... the prescription drug giveaway, the Amnesty Bill... came out of his office. On the latter, the speech where he said that he wanted to import Hispanics because his children were too good for menial labor was particularly insulting.

But I'd rather have the argument with him than shout him down so he couldn't be heard.

Yep - that's liberal free-speech all right - STFU unless you agree with their toddler-brained temper-tantrum madness. What absolute, worthless cowards they are.

Liberals are lunatics - every last freaking one of them.

Another illustration of how the leftist college student develops from the spoiled toddler. These are kids who were told that everything they said was precious and that being rude was their right. Kids who were taught to stamp their feet and scream to win an argument and that anyone who didn't agree with them was stupid grow up to be obnoxious people. One would think there would be much a Howard Zinn reading college kid would have to ask Karl Rove, but I guess not. The faculty must be proud.

And I agree with the assessment of Rove as kind of an overrated douche - that comment he made about his kids was very revealing. Also, he barely won two elections that Republicans should have steamrolled through. But if an Al Gore talk goes for $175,000, 40 grand for Rove is a bargain.

The real story is how the college students can disrespect a 84 year old veteran and not get their ass beat by someone in the audience.
A friend of mine coaches a high school football team, and when a teammate punched a girl out in school for not "going out" with the boy the whole team was "severely punished" for not "regulating". As it was caught on video and several football players were seen standing there not doing anything but watching.
I pray to god that I would respond accordingly when an old person or female is being disrespected or victimized.

I pray to God that nobody stages such an incident for effect with clownass jockos like you around.

I'm not sure you possess the discernment to know the difference.

You pray hash? All the time, or just when you are bullying an old person or a woman?

Posted by: Beef at March 11, 2008 10:37 AM

Bob Dylan never wrote any protest songs about the Viet Nam war. When asked at a press conference about why he haddn't (I believe in the late 60's) writen any protest songs he replied with something to the effect how do you know I don't support the war?

You had me with the homeless guys under the bridge comeback which was funny, but I am afraid I must give you two thumbs down on this one.
Or as Simon Cowell would say, "That was simply horrendous".
Have you even hit puberty yet Hash?

Your hero is Chris Jerico, as clownass jocko was his favorite line.

One could argue that "masters of War" was a song written in direct protest of the Vietnam war. Dylan is famous for giving vague and often contradictory answers to interviewers simply to fuck with their heads.

"...keeping his cool while insisting on his right to be heard."

let's be clear no one has the right to "be heard"! Rove has the right to speak, but not one of us is required to listen to him. And frankly , no one should.

Posted by: hashafanticFAN at March 12, 2008 2:10 AM

Hash,
The protestors violated his right to speak and the old man's right to listen.
Mabey you are too blind to see that since, like many of us, you disagree with Rove.

So hash, allow me to educate you on the law.
Speech that infringes on the rights of the innocent is not protected. The protestors should have been arrested.

Also, you should be aware of common moral sense. Women and old people, especially veterans, should be respected.

Isn't that what voting and democracy is all about?

"Beef, Yeah the hashpotatoe prays he doesn't get the snot kicked out of him, her, itself when it's messin' with old folks and women."

Jimbo keeps giving him his address, so now he needs to grow some balls and go see him. A couple of old ladies could kick his butt! Cowards like that are easy.
