Hugo Chavez Scared of John McCain
Despite his flaws, John McCain does have a few things going for him. Most importantly, he is not Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton. Also, belligerent socialist thug Hugo Chavez seems to be afraid of him:
Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez said Republican Presidential candidate John McCain was seeking to promote war with Venezuela.
"Maybe he's seeking hawkish votes, from the right in Florida," Chavez said at a press conference today in Caracas with foreign correspondents. "Still, whoever wins we want to have better relations with the next U.S. president."
The "right in Florida" must be a reference to the many Cubans who have settled there, after having risked life and limb to escape a regime identical to the one Chavez has been establishing in Venezuela with Hollywood's effusive approval.

On a tip from Byron.

Chavez doesen't sound the least bit "afraid" of McCain. Sounds like his trying to build bridges in spite of partisan politics and empty campaign threats.
Most of you wingnuts sound much much more afraid of McCain than Chavez does.

"Sounds like his trying to build bridges in spite of partisan politics and empty campaign threats."
Get a clue nitwit. First off, that football-headed, Marxist asshole is a naked enemy of the USA and it's Capitalist economy. Second, since when has he EVER been a bridge builder? Was it when he funded FARC terrorists that threaten Venezuela's neighbors? Or was it when he welcomed the Hitlerite Ahmadinejad as a brother to Caracas? Third, the portion of your post that I quoted is grammatically incorrect. Normally, I'd attribute that to a typo, but in your case, it's clearly because you're an idiot.

Let's not forget Chavez's bid to make himself el presidente for life: by trying to ram a resolution down Venezuelans' throats that would allow him to run for president as many times as he wants to. It failed, but I'm sure he's working on a plan to keep his fat a$$ in office until he croaks like Castro.
And how is it building bridges to claim that McCain is promoting war with Venezuela? Sounds a bit paranoid to me...which is a common trait among dictators...even those who are "elected."

Pam, we all know McCain hasn't made any threats against Chavez from the campaign trail. HashholeFAN likely imagined it during a recent narcotic episode, just as Chavez himself wallows in paranoid delusions after chewing coca leaves.

Well, RLV, I don't know about you, but I'm just waiting for the "Bush is a dictator whose regime must be stopped" meme to pop up in this thread, courtesy of our many moonbat friends who like to stop by.
Of course, this "regime" will end on January 20, 2009 (how can I forget? I've seen it on bumper stickers), but let's not let a little thing called the 22nd Amendment get in the way of paranoid rhetoric.
When will Chavez's regime end? Who knows? Castro's ended, but was picked right up where he left off by his (by all accounts) worse brother. Hooray for progress!

I thought Hugo Chavez was a dictator?

Hugo Chavez is a demon possessed politician who is extremely delusional. He's on the road to self destruction, if no one succeeds in assassinating him, which I DON'T CONDONE EVER! That is never the answer, but someone in Venezuela I'm sure is tempted to do so.

On behalf of us "hawks" in Florida, thank you, Mr Dictator for your uplifting words; I was begining to become depressed by all the Liberal-weenie newspapers down here!
