Evan Sayet Revisited

I've posted this video before, but the folks at Ace of Spades HQ thought it was worth posting again, and they're right. It explains why revelations of Barack Obama's jarringly anti-American background have not put an end to his alarming candidacy.

On a tip from V the K.

I've long thought of liberals as the "children" of society and conservatives as the "adults." I got quite a kick out of him mentioning the "5 year old" mindset of these people.

Great vid. Keep up the good work here!

that was eye-opening. I am struck by the similarities in his description of the liberal mindset and Ayn Rand's description of the "second-handers" in her books.

After watching this, I find myself wondering why, if the libs are so dumb and incapable of rational thought, how have they taken over Hollywood, the news media, the school system, etc. How have they managed to trump the conservatives in these areas? I wish someone had asked him that question.

Evil doesn't mean stupid.

Hey Texan,

First of all, why don't you call yourself "Austin, Texan" (if you really are a Texan) to reflect more of who you really are? No, wait, Evan Sayet already covered that when he explains how leftists love to mislabel themselves, i.e. Hardball with Chris Matthews or Politically Incorrect (hosted by the most politically correct person on the planet) or Larry King LIVE! (you get the picture).

So you ask, "After watching this, I find myself wondering why, if the libs are so dumb and incapable of rational thought, how have they taken over Hollywood, the news media, the school system, etc." Apparently you either did not watch this video, didn't listen to what he was saying, or you are simply "dumb and incapable of rational thought" yourself.

If you truly want to understand Sayet's thesis, go back and watch from 5:25 to 7:45. If you suffer from severe short attention span, start at 6:45 and go through 7:45. If you have too much difficulty understanding his method of speaking, I will summarize it by reiterating what he said:

  • Liberals are not all evil.

  • Liberals are not all incredibly stupid (after all, if it was just stupidity, they'd be right more often).

  • In all the years of human civilization, none of the ideas, religions, philosophies, ideologies, or forms of government; none of these inventions of mankind has succeeded in creating a world devoid of war, poverty, crime, and injustice. Since all of these ideas of man have proved to be wrong, the real cause of war, poverty, crime, and injustice lies in mankind's attempt to be right.

I don't believe his contentions can be summarized much more succinctly than that.

I've always thought liberals were more like women, more specifically the worst aspects of women. Imagine a Paris Hilton-esque floozy that'll bed down with any bad boy thug or smooth talker comes by. She's got a massive entitlement complex that makes her demand things for the most ridiculous and specious of reasons. She has absolutely no mental depth because her "thought process" consists of rationalizations of what is true and right are based on what she feels at the moment. The same goes for her beliefs; they are not based on any contemplaton but once again, based on emotion and emulating whatever is fashionable at the time. There are no real principles with her. Just whatever makes her feel good and can get her what she wants.

That paragraph didn't come out as well as I had hoped, but I think I got my point across.

If your point is that you're a misogynistic ass, you've gotten it across, perfectly.

Hey V the K,
You have missed the point so completely, I don't know where to begin. That being said, lets get started.
1. Yes, I'm a Texan, I live in the People's Democratic Republic of Austin, and I am a Conservative.
2. Do you think Conservatives are in control of newspapers, television, etc? If not, I guess that means the Liberals are, right?

3. If they are, how did the Conservatives let that happen???

4. Your apology for casting me as a leftist is accepted, now go to bed.

I think you have me confused with Lyle. (Put down the bong, hippie!)

But in answer to your question, most of the major media outlets are inherited fiefdoms. The New York Times is only one example. People who make their own wealth tend to be conservative. People who inherit wealth tend to be liberal. It's as simple as that.

I ment to ask this before, but does anyone have a TRANSCRIPT of this speach, or is there a way to download the video?

Posted by: KHarn at April 1, 2008 2:53 PM

Try this. It's not an exact word for word transcript, but it's close.
