Dilbert Creator Confesses to Fear of Islam

Dilbert creator Scott Adams has created a new character named Jesus (pronounced the Spanish way), which he uses to poke lame, lighthearted fun at Christianity, just in time for Easter. While the cartoons in question are not in a league with the tasteless anti-Christian blasphemy that passes for "cutting edge" among cowardly moonbats in the arts community, he's still been asked why he doesn't mock Mohammad.

Refreshingly, at least part of his answer is honest:

Well, aside from the blindingly obvious reason that I prefer life over death, I didn't realize I was making fun of Christianity this week.

Admitting that they censor themselves out of fear of Islam could be a first step toward cartoonists and journalists gathering the courage to crawl out from under their desks.

On a tip from Burning Hot.

I thought journalists and their editorial cartoonists friends were most courageous. Look it takes courage to spill national defense secrets, make fun of our dead troops (Teddy Rall), and criticize the meek religions of the world. The mighty Dan Rather used to end his broadcasts with the utterance of the lone word, "Courage!?"....that is until his alter-personality, Kenneth, wanted to know the frequency.

Not only are the MSM types lazy and biased, they are the biggest cowards on the planet. That's why they continually stage their own awards extravagandas. They certainly would never wait until we readers lauded them....because we wouldn't.

I don't think he was making fun of Christianity either. Personally I thought it was very funny allegory of the Christian faith. The final strip in the series was the funniest.

Just because of the irony of the timing of this - When I first read the first paragraph, I though it said 'throwing out the first Bitch.' After the double take, I was then thinking of the team promoters following the golden rule of P.T. Barnum.....

We're not Macon this up: Team to 'honor' Spitzer

I read dilbert most days in the paper, when I saw the Jesus character I didn't really take a second glance at it, didn't seem that bad.

I just saw Lisa Lampenelli live and she will not do a Muslem joke to save her life. She nails everyone else, but she to is scared of a CAIR lawsuit or worse.

She skirts around it, but totally holds back on anything that can be recorded as her making bad with the Muzzies.

She did get the obligatory 'Bush Derrangement Syndrom' based joke in, but the crowd did not go nuts for it, so she moved on.

The problem is that if you insult Christians, you will get at most strongly worded editorials, but if you insult Islam, you get literal-minded people calling for your head. Most comedians won't touch Islam, but Jeff Dunham is both very brave and very funny

It was a fun series, but he made one fatal mistake - hordes of illegal immigrants led by Geraldo will soon file suit against his 'debasing, bigoted anti-Hispanic discrimination'.
