Democrat Chickens May Roost in Denver

Stock up on popcorn before the Democrat convention; it might turn out to be highly entertaining. Re-create 68, a moonbat cult devoted like many liberals to forcibly returning America to the hippie era, wants Denver to match the Chicago of 1968 for anarchy and mayhem.

Even the liberal Denver Post is getting sick of these punks:

People affiliated with Re-create 68 packed a city-sponsored lottery for park space with entries under various names, hoping to guarantee that they'd be the only ones to use Civic Center on the Sunday before the convention.
The permit instead went to the convention host committee in a blind drawing. The committee had submitted only one application for that date. It was a karmic kick in the pants, and Re-create 68 organizers didn't handle it like grownups.
Glenn Spagnuolo, a lead organizer for the group, said protesters, which he predicts will number 50,000, will gather at the central Denver park anyway.
He said there would have to be massive security at the park and the Pepsi Center, where the convention is taking place. That sounds like a threat.

Typically of moonbats, Re-create 68 uses the system to the extent it gets what it wants, then quickly resorts to threats and tantrums. Like all revolutionary wannabes, they vastly inflate their own numbers. But if the Shrillary vs. Osama Obama matchup doesn't get resolved to certain people's satisfaction, Re-create 68 rioters could have a lot of company.

As Jeremiah Wright or Ward Churchill might say, the Democrat Party's chickens are coming home to roost.

The idea is to make Denver 2008 into Chicago 1968.

On a tip from Oiao.

The Democrat big shots keep saying they will have everything worked out before the convention - as if that will help. I doubt it will. Whoever is on the losing side will have time to get even more unhinged before the event occurs.

If the candidate isn't chosen going in, the supporters will have to at least be on good behavior at first, and then freak out when they lose. It should be interesting either way.

I'm stocking up on popcorn and beer... should prove to be a riveting event to watch on TV!!!

Hey ya'll, big convention party at HoosierArmyMom's place! Bring popcorn and beer-heck, bring your bong, we're watchin' Democrats.

Poor Cindy.......MoonBat Central in SF.

She actually thinks she will beat Nancy PolPotLucy out of the House.

The fun part is, a lot of noise (entertainment for the more moderate and right Americans) will be made. Nancy will have to directly deal with the MoonBat base of her district on this one.

HoosierArmyMom, do you have the phone number for that wholesale popcorn seller, I'm going to need a lot of it.

Nancy needs the 'Women in Black' as her press corps!

Yet another reason why I have not paid News Week one cent in years.........

The War at Home
Cindy Sheehan's uphill battle.

It's quite sad watching these old people slipping into their confused dotage and trying to relive their youth.

Hey Van - let's recreate "69" (hehehe)

Posted by: LT at March 22, 2008 3:06 PM

Better yet - let's recreate '74 and send the incompetent and untrustworthy GOP packing.

Posted by: Anonymous at March 22, 2008 3:09 PM

Look - Van H. is a total as*hole and a right wing extremist - but his posts are funny. He has a great sense of humor. I actually like his writing but not his ideas.

Posted by: LT at March 22, 2008 3:12 PM

Van,

When Obama wins in Nov. - can I help you pack up your things? I hear the radical right is starting a colony in South Carolina [hillbilly country] where hick preachers will run things and biblical law will rule. I hope you are not into oral sex b/c that is considered sodomy. Remarriage is considered adultery. Do you like the stones? [no - not the Rolling Stones].

Shooooooooo-EEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

I smell suicidal worthlessness.

Posted by: Jimbo at March 22, 2008 3:29 PM

Ah, another lame and bigoted troll creeps in.
"It's quite sad watching these old people slipping into their confused dotage and trying to relive their youth."
Actually, while I'm sure there will probably be plenty of 60's leftovers converging there in an effort to recreate what they viewed as their 'Glory Days,' I think the majority of the Recreate '68 freaks will be ignorant white youths interested in destroying as much as possible, just like it was in '68.
I've been checking out their site a few times (Good to know about the enemy and all), and while some of it is funny (Especially their "Shake your money maker" demonstration planned, in which they'll use spells and chants to try and levitate the Denver Mint into the air and shake out all the money from it for them to take), other parts look downright scary and imply that they're definitely intent on starting some violence (An under- construction section on what tactics and weapons "The pigs" will be using, and a VERY detailed online brochure for teaching protestors how to build makeshift shield weapons and form Phalanx- esque shield walls for fighting those who would oppose their madness).
I've noticed the moderate Democrats are doing their best to avoid being associated with the Recreate '68 protestors. They're smart, for Dems at least.
I just hope the cops will be ready and prepared when the convention comes around, so they can keep things under control as much as possible.

Students honor Chavez by fasting for nonviolence

....In addition to honoring Chavez's efforts, students wanted to raise campus awareness about issues of violence, including child and domestic abuse, and violence toward the lesbian, bisexual, gay and transgender community.....

If only I had invested in companies that make pepper spray and zip-tie cuffs...

Posted by: PabloD at March 22, 2008 5:11 PM

Pablo,
What about rock salt?

Posted by: Farmer Ted at March 22, 2008 6:07 PM

I invested in Airport scanner tech a few years back, very nice ROI.

Zip ties - get them by the gross from China (led included free of charge) for pennies.

Use duct tape on the hairy ones. Fun to rip off at booking time.

It's going to make a hell of a South Park episode.

Applying Lib logic:I'm going to buy lottery tickets, and if I don't win, I'm still going to take the money!

While I don't expect 50K people to show, theres definantly going to be alot of the weasels showing up.

Posted by: conservativeteen at March 22, 2008 6:43 PM

Farmer Ted - yes, I forgot about rock salt. Although I guess they have the new-fangled "less lethal" shotguns now... probably "less fun" than rock salt, too. Still, dingin' moonbats with bean bags must provide hours of fun!

OT
For us here in the middle of the Specific Ocean, Easter is still a few hours away. For those of you on the Easy Coast, Easter 2008 has already dawned.

Happy Easter to all.

To all of you – and especially to the moonbat trolls (Ms. Parker, Hashfanatic and it’s fan, and our newest troll, “LT”) – I wish you a happy Easter. I love (but not necessarilly repect) you.

And I want each and every one of you to know that just as our Lord died then rose on this day to prove we have power over death through His grace; I would also die for any one of you – as God wills. I wish you all good tidings.

No exceptions.

God bless you each and every one.

Jimbo

Well Denver deserves a bunch of hippie wanna bes destroying the city and showing America what the Left stands for. I'm stocking up to see Osama throw his granny under a bus! Wheeee, its going to be fun. My only regret is that an idiot like McCain gets to win in a landslide.

Posted by: Thomas Jackson at March 22, 2008 11:13 PM

Thanks Jimbo, a very happy Easter to you and yours as well!

Years ago, in other parts of the world, people used to riot against authority because they were starving. Now they riot while obese and wearing $200 shoes. Hmmm

Posted by: JamesJ at March 23, 2008 4:50 AM

JamesJ - in fairness, it's hard to riot when you're starving; they don't give you meal breaks, and smashing windows is hard work (or as much "hard work" as a typical anarchist moonbat punk is likely to do). If you go the pacifist route, it's smart to begin your "hunger strike" with an extra 50 lbs. (unless you plan to chug smoothies on the side).

Posted by: PabloD at March 23, 2008 8:16 AM

"(unless you plan to chug smoothies on the side)."

The Cindy Shehann "hunger strike". (Grin!)

Posted by: KHarn at March 23, 2008 12:34 PM

I was 1 or so years old the first time around so my recollection of the 1968 riots are a bit fuzzy!

Im really looking forward to this event. Thank God I dont live in Denver. Though living in a suburb or Pittsburgh is almost as bad. Things are so bad there in a recent newscast with a city official had a button hanging on a bulletin board saying BUCK FUSH right out in the open. And they wonder why people keep fleeing that city for the burbs? Heck, even the county is turning Moonbat in some areas and some of these hack politicians want to combine city/country government.

Jimbo,
Happy Esater. In about a month be on the lookout for a black Dodge srt8 Charger cruisin' around the island. A buddy of mine's son just bought one and he's stationed in Hawaii. He's in the Navy and plans to make it a career.

Posted by: Farmer Ted at March 23, 2008 2:30 PM

Well, Jimbo, that's a very nice sentiment.

Blessings and light, to all of my moonbattery.com family as well!
