Daily Kos Calls for Invasion of USA

The Daily Kos — official voice of the Nutroots establishment, obsequiously courted by Democrat candidates — has called for the USA to be invaded and occupied by a foreign army, so as to help us "regain our compassion":

As a nation the United States no longer has the remotest idea about what it really feels like to be part of a war zone. […] We have allowed a Congress and an administration to encourage hate and to hi-jack our compassion. In fact, as a nation we have lost our compassion.
Is America at a point that to be able to really feel again, to regain that compassion, that it needs to be invaded and occupied in the same way that we have invaded and occupied Iraq? Would there be a greater chance that Americans will be more reluctant to accept the invasion of another country? Maybe seeing and feeling the same level of destruction that we have inflicted on Iraq, at least the American public will understand why invading another country is unconscionable except in the most dire circumstances — which means after that country has directly attacked the United States.

Apparently violating a ceasefire agreement, shooting at our planes, and trying to assassinate a former president don't count as directly attacking the United States.

Don't forget not to question their patriotism.

Im suprised Moonbats arent flocking to CBS 10pm Tuesday nights since CBS turned Jericho, a once decent show, into Moonbats wet dream where the Western US is basically turned into occupied Iraq. Last night they did the Guantanamo Bay routine complete with black hood. Not long after that I changed the channel. Might check out the final episode to find out how it ends since the show has low ratings and is being cancelled for good this time. Like all these anti-Iraq/anti-capitalism/anti-Bush movies they are going down in flames. I guess theres still hope for America yet as TV viewers would rather watch a still good show like NCIS over the load of crap Jericho has become.

This story has been out for a few days. Has the 'It was just satire' defense been raised yet?

Posted by: V the K at March 19, 2008 7:29 AM

They arent going to claim satire because they really mean it and dont care who knows it. The Daily Kos is full of extremist lefties who make Hillary Clinton look like a conservative Republican.

It will be interesting to see if this is reported on broadcast news and not just the blogosphere/internet. Odds are it wont as most networks are still on the Reverend Wrong/Osama story. The liberal networks are giving this story air play because they really want Hillary as the nominee.

If Hill isn't far-left enough to satisfy the kostards, it's really scary how fringe they must be. I mean, she wants to nationalize health care, she wants to appoint judges in the Ruth Bader Ginsburg mode to the courts, she wants to raise taxes, she wants to punish corporations for being profitable, she wants to enact the extremist environmentalist agenda, she wants amnesty for illegals, she wants to expand the state role in education, she wants to "take things away from you for the common good" ... how much further to the left can you be?

Posted by: V the K at March 19, 2008 7:43 AM

The Daily Kos is kind of Pol Pot kind of lefty. As much as I loathe Shillary, she aint quite that bad.

You left out planning attacks on America right up until the war began. At least Mad Vlad Putin said Saddam was PLANNING attacks. Of course Putin said we should go into Iraq because they hadnt actually carried out the attacks YET. How diplomatic of him. If Saddam was planning attack on Russia Im sure he would not have said that. Plus he cut deals with Saddam to develop his oil assets.

Granted this is old news, but the media pretty much limited coverage of this to websites.

http://www.cnn.com/2004/WORLD/europe/06/18/russia.warning/

"MOSCOW, Russia (CNN) -- Russian intelligence services warned Washington several times that Saddam Hussein's regime planned terrorist attacks against the United States, President Vladimir Putin has said.

The warnings were provided after September 11, 2001 and before the start of the Iraqi war, Putin said Friday.

The planned attacks were targeted both inside and outside the United States, said Putin, who made the remarks during a visit to Kazakhstan.

However, Putin said there was no evidence that Saddam's regime was involved in any terrorist attacks.

"I can confirm that after the events of September 11, 2001, and up to the military operation in Iraq, Russian special services and Russian intelligence several times received ... information that official organs of Saddam's regime were preparing terrorist acts on the territory of the United States and beyond its borders, at U.S. military and civilian locations," Putin said."

The last post should say that Putin said we should NOT go into Iraq because actual attacks hadnt occurred YET.

Scrapple face says BHO is down with the struggle:

In a landmark address on race, which has already eclipsed Martin Luther King’s ‘I Have a Dream‘ speech, Democrat presidential hopeful Sen. Barack Obama today said the U.S. can achieve the Founding Fathers’ vision of “a more perfect union” only if black and white come together to overthrow the bourgeoisie who run the military-industrial complex and control the means of production.
“When the means of production are in the hands of you, the proletariat,” Sen. Obama told an audience in Philadelphia, “only then will black and white blend together in harmony the way they do in my own DNA.”

It's funny, but only because it's true.

You know the few times I have gone out and looked at the Daily KOS, I have got the creeps so bad I couldn't stay there long. Kind of like walking into a "physical place" where horrific evil took place, like Aushwitz. Can't explain it, I just know it gives me very uncomfortable feelings. Is that strange or what?

Posted by: HoosierArmyMom at March 19, 2008 8:31 AM

Hoosier, it takes a daring soul to wade into the Daily Kos cesspool. Its like going into a mental ward. You have to have an iron constitution to stomach it.

Posted by: Anonymous at March 19, 2008 8:35 AM

I guess Mexican civilian invasion isn't good enough.

Posted by: MB at March 19, 2008 8:44 AM

I think Anon got it right. The Kostards aren't mainstream liberals, they are Pol Pot revolutionaries... if Pol Pot's revolutionaries had had computers and lived in their parent's basements.

Still, the degree to which mainstream liberal Democrats genuflect to the Kosleft is not good.

Wasnt INVASION USA some cheesy Chuck Norris movie?

Posted by: Anonymous at March 19, 2008 9:09 AM

Why isn't Chuck Norris's face on Mount Rushmore?

Because the granite is not tough enough.

ttevolla, I enjoy LOST myself. Especially, since it hasn't slid into silly moonbattery......yet.

Yes, it is that awful!!! Barf bag in hand, it is still risky. Huff Po is just a lot of nasty Kostard wannabes from what I can see, but that one still makes me sick.

Invade the American homeland?

All I got to say is "Bring 'em on".

Posted by: George W. Bush at March 19, 2008 12:52 PM

Gawd, I love these Nut Jobs (who call themselves the "Netroots")! Screaming for an invasion of the United States, they'd be the first to beg the U.S. Marines to come and save them when their heads are smacked down upon the chopping blocks and the axes are in the air!

Gotta love 'em, even though they're complete dolts! Well, okay then, call 'em like you see 'em: f--king idiots.

I go to DailyKos once in a while. Most of them remind me of surly middle-aged activists in Berkeley who decided to break away from society but only broke away from reality. I've taken on amad from muslimmatters.org and he tried to make my responses to him deleted. That was dumb since all anyone has to do is click on my profile and fin them there.

Good description Ansar. LOL!!!

ALERT:

Markos Moulitsas (the Supreme Hatemonger of Daily KOS fame) has been hired by Newsweek!!! Too bad I didn't order the damn magazine a few months back when my neighbor sold subscriptions as a fundraiser... I could call and CANCEL it!!!

Posted by: HoosierArmyMom at March 20, 2008 9:47 AM

I will pose a question here that is somewhat on this topic, whether or not I get an answer... who knows???

On the news last night there was a bit about Arianna Huffington and her Cesspool Blog which has gone from commenting on Nancy Reagan, wishing her a long, painful death to now making hateful comments about Tony Snow and his cancer battle.
Everytime I have seen Tony Snow interviewed he is a gentleman and scholar and not prone toward "inciting people with hate comments". Where I was never a fan of Nancy Reagan, she was a benign personality, a supportive wife who obviously loved her husband. What I don't understand is this.
What do liberal commenters get from making such caustic, hateful comments about these people? Who admires that kind of tacky conduct? And WHERE do these ignorant animals come from anyway???

If I hate anything about my country right now, it is the fact that it could produce so many hatefilled, nasty assholes trying to masquarade as real human beings! I wouldn't wish that kind of stuff on anyone, not even my worst enemy, so I guess I'm niave about that stuff. I guess it bothers me that I have to breath the same air as people who act and interact in such a mean spirited way.
