Brace Yourself for Governor Newsom

To say that the Governator has been a disappointment would be putting it mildly, but California could do even worse:
San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom is considering a 2010 run for governor — a campaign that would embrace many of the same divisive causes he has championed as mayor, including same-sex marriage, universal health care and protections for illegal immigrants, The Chronicle has learned.
Newsom has been building up his name recognition by writing opinion pieces for the unhinged ultra-left fever swamp Daily Kos, by squawking loudly about the righteousness of homosexual "marriage," and by posing in public with Teamsters President Jimmy Hoffa Jr.
Under Newsom's guidance, San Francisco has degenerated into self-parody, calling for the 2004 election to be overturned, socializing medicine, killing JROTC, refusing to let the Marines film a recruiting commercial, and milking the global warming hoax for $millions in salaries for extraneous bureauweenies.
Newsom's mayoral accomplishments include:
- Indulged in an affair with the wife of his campaign manager;
- Issued licenses for homosexual "marriages" in direct violation of California law;
- Showed up drunk for the vigil of a mortally wounded police officer;
- Refused to cooperate with the federal government regarding security and immigration;
- Backed attacks on the Second Amendment;
- Restricted bottled water for being politically incorrect;
- Pushed official IDs for illegal aliens
- Fought for a discredited tidal power boondoggle that will cost the city a fortune.
His competition may include fellow flaming moonbats Jerry "Governor Moonbeam" Brown and fifth-columnist Antonio Villaraigosa. The Golden State's future looks anything but auriferous.
