Beeb Teams Up with NUT against British Army
The British Army does not actively recruit in schools, but will send in representatives if invited by schools to give kids an idea of what the military is about. According to the National Union of Teachers (which goes by the apt acronym NUT), this will not do.
The execrable BBC is only too happy to provide a soapbox for teacher Paul McGarr, who holds forth at length about what military personnel should be required to tell kids before being allowed into schools:
Join the Army and we will send you to carry out the imperialist occupation of other people's countries. Join the Army and we will send you to bomb, shoot and possibly torture fellow human beings in other countries. Join the Army and we will send you probably poorly equipped into situations where people will try to shoot or kill you because you are occupying other people's countries. Join the Army, and if you survive and come home, possibly injured or mentally damaged, you and your family will be shabbily treated.
Imagine if similar requirements were imposed on teachers unions and leftist media outlets like the BBC. They might be commanded to warn:
Become a moonbat and spew hysterical rubbish. Become a moonbat and stab your society's most honorable members in the back. Become a moonbat and assist the Muslim terrorists who want to kill you. Become a moonbat and behave like a snot-nosed child your entire life. Become a moonbat, and you'll deserve to be shabbily treated, because you will be shabby.
On a tip from Ian from the EUSSR.

JOIN THE ARMY!
"Travel to Distant, Exotic Lands, Meet Interesting People, and Kill Them"
I have that on a T-shirt. I wear it when I go target shooting at the local Rod & Gun Club.

Just on the off-chance, I just thought I'd google "Paul McGarr" and see if anything turned up. Quite a lot does. The man who the BBC describe as-
"Paul McGarr, a teacher from east London,"
as if he's just any old teacher they got a quote from appears to be Paul McGarr, the "Socialist historian, author, political activist and member of the SWP and Respect. He works as a secondary school maths teacher."
For the non-Brits, the SWP is the Socialist Workers Party, a British Trotskyist party, and Respect is the odious anti-western, pro-Islamist party run by the traitorous George Galloway who famously, before the Iraq invasion, looked forward in the House Of Commons to "many a yankee doodle dandy going home in body bags".
I wonder why the BBC wouldn't bother to mention any of that?

The "NUT" are the biggest load of left wing lunatics I have ever come across.
Not only do they join with the BBC to insult then brave men and women of the Armed Forces, they also what Imams to go into our schools to teach the Quoran to our children!
