As His Extremism Becomes More Evident, Obama's Support Rises Among Blacks
How's this for horrifying:
Since it became public knowledge that Obama's close advisor Jeremiah Wright is a race-baiting maniac who noisily denounces America in the most inflammatory terms conceivable, black support for Obama has actually risen in the key Keystone State:
Black voters back Sen. Obama 76 - 18 percent, compared to 69 - 23 percent Feb. 27.
By encouraging blacks to foster largely bogus grievances, liberals have created a Frankenstein monster. The O.J. verdict was only a vague hint of things to come. If Robert Mugabe came to America and ran on a platform of confiscating white people's property as he's done to such disastrous effect in Zimbabwe, he would get the votes of Obama's base.

Comments
I was personally insulted by these comments for myself, and my two generations of relatives who immigrated here (legally through Ellis Island).
Hey OSAMA OBAMA, we did not own slaves. My ancestors were white slaves.
I do not owe any pentence to the fact that black people are predominatly classed as being owed a debt because of slavery.
Your Preacher Man Write is a Biggot and a Racist, I am not.
But don't worry, I pay a lot of taxes to support your worthless brothers who don't work and live off of the socialist dole...(my apologies to my many minority brothers and sisters who work their asses off, but you are a minority within a miniority in Osama Obama's world and not worth a spit - you are Uncle Toms).
Obama is an AssHat to the Nth power. The guy is insulting America.
All I can say is, I am an equal opportunity defender = no matter what color you are when you come through my front door uninvited, you will get the same effect; dead.

One last comment.
Did Osama Obama just become more devisive to hard working Americans, who pay taxes, of most ethnic groups, than Hillabillary?
Posted by: Oiao at March 18, 2008 11:17 AM
Jeremiah Wright is using Obama's position in politics as a stage for his sewage. He's nothing less than a parasite.

The Demoncrats are in a real pickle - A black racist and Shillary. For better or worse John McCain - your next President. Hes a decent place holder until 2012 - shouldnt cause too much trouble (when hes awake). Hopefully he will pick a decent guy for VP to take over if he croaks.

I know I said something similar to this before but-
Look at that photo without preconceptions. Pretend you don't know who these guys are, and had to guess their geographic origins. Wouldn't you think, "middle eastern" rather than "black african"?
I'm not saying that to imply some kind of negative muslim connection. I mean it to question what exactly we mean by "race".

Ian, I thought the same thing: where are these black guys the post talks about? The guy on the right looks like a less ruddy version of my father - and I have blue eyes.
Posted by: Jay Guevara at March 18, 2008 12:27 PM
Ian,
Except the guy's shirt on the right says "Africa". :-)
Posted by: crispy at March 18, 2008 1:30 PM
Man, I really hadn't looked that closely at the photos, but this one definately drives home the fact that they don't, either on, look "black African".
The slave issue is getting old, since an awful lot of white blood was spilled in the process of ending it, not to mention, Native Americans... the Indians were slaughtered, had their land stolen, had their food supply depleted for the hides and heads, endured the white people stealing away their identities and culture in the government schools... and they don't say much about it at all. They just participate in being part of this country in 2008.

The "pastor's" blouse really bothers me. From 10 feet away, he looks like a disembodied head and neck.
Posted by: Kristy at March 18, 2008 3:10 PM
Oh, it's not "Costa Rica" then?
Posted by: Ian from the EUSSR at March 18, 2008 3:43 PM
"Their land"? Show me a deed. They weren't any different than any other native peoples occupying HUGE areas of land that they did not, nor ever will neeed.
Their own tribes did worse to each other than any other race, white, hispanic or other. While a few tribes were freindly, most were savage. What the Indians in the northeast did to innocent white people is sickening.
"Indians slaughtered"? Let me send you some links of the barbaric treatment the white people got. I'm talking skin stripped off and fingers chewed off. Again...their own kind did evil upon them. What did the white man do? GASP! Brought them Christ. Brought medical care. Brought an education.
"Food supply depleted"??? Buffaloshit! It's a big country and very few Indians lived off the bison.
"white people stealing away their identities and culture in the government schools"?? More bullshit. Go visit some missionary and orphanage websites. Then come back in here an apologize for being an ass.
"... and they don't say much about it at all."??? Another uninformed whiney opinion. Do an internet search on "missionaries" and "Native Americans" and you will find some of the most vile, bigoted and absolutely UNTRUE diatribes online. Makes the Muslimes look tame. Have you forgotten the rewriting of Thanksgiving history last fall already???
"They just participate in being part of this country in 2008." You mean, like the big lawsuit they just filed a few months ago? I forget what the latest one was, (they do thousands) except that it went after the very heart of this country's stability. Anybody remember???
INdians have some of the most beautiful parts of the country to themselves. They enjoy MUCH independecne and are sheltered from a lot of government interference that you and I are not, free timbering incomes, free gas income, freedom from most if not all taxes, they RUN the retail tobacco industry, sell tax free gas but charge nearly full price, rake it in big time with casinos. EEEEVVVerybody cries wah wah wah for the poor downtrodden INdians. And they never had it so good.
And let me tell you, the most brutal murders that occur near me are of the Native variety. BRUTAL and VICIOUS. And what does the Native communioty do???They took the killers in time after time. They sheltered them from the law. White man's law of course.
You can expect the Native "American" to join forces with anybody they can, if it means attacking the white man. Make book on it.
PS The "Long" is short for Long Shadow. It ain't something I am proud of.

Tina,
I was interested in your comment. I am Australian, and here there is a whole 'industry' of saying sorry to what is referred to as 'The Stolen Generation'. The claim is that from the 1920s through to the 1970s aboriginal children were forcibly removed from their familes due to racist intent. The truth is that they were removed for their own health and safety, and given modern education and living conditions. Now that the PC brigade is so vocal, government departments are afraid to remove any aboriginal child from danger, which has led to a massive increase in child rape and abuse in remote aboriginal communities, to the extent that venereal disease is rife among very young aboriginal girls.
History is being re-written to the detriment of helpless aboriginal children, but us 'whities' are meant to feel eternally guilty...

By the way, in New Zealand the local Maoris are using the same "we were here first" arguments, but can only do that becasue they killed off all the original New Zealand natives!

If one removed all of the injustices from history books, they'd be called history pamphlets.
What's done is done. In some cases, the "victims" - such as the Aztecs, Stone Age Nazis on a good day - were right swine in their own right, and deserved everything they got.

um, I guess Senator Obama's Pastor has a bit further to go before he "crosses the line".
"I understand MSNBC has suspended Mr. Imus," Obama told ABC News, "but I would also say that there's nobody on my staff who would still be working for me if they made a comment like that about anybody of any ethnic group. And I would hope that NBC ends up having that same attitude."

Ms. Long,
What is Long Shadow? Is that a Native American Name? I don't understand the 'not proud of' part.
It sounds like you may have some real first hand information regarding Native Americans. As a history teacher I would really be interested in hearing some facts from someone with experience. Most of what our history books shows us about the Indian Removal business really shows European settlers as cruel.
I have learned a great deal from foreign students. I have had South Korean students educate me on their relationships with other Asian groups like the Japanese and the Chinese. I have had Hispanic students educate me on the realities of Hispanic cultures. And the list goes on. But I have never heard any Native American accounts from someone with real experience.
All info is appreciated.

One thing I forgot to mention.
You cannot blame any of us for being ignorant on the truth regarding Native American affairs. Hollywood, the history books, teachers, and the media portray Native Americans as victims of endless atrocity whose heritige is the most honorable.
Hoosier is very right about one thing. We don't hear much in the news on Native Americans or their lawsuits. I believe that the progress of this country couldn't have happened without cruely removing Native Americans from their areas.
I am willing to bet that anyone who disagrees and claims it was wrong to remove Indians wouldn't want to go back in time and change things. The nomadic buffalo hunting lifestyle isn't exactly atractive to us internet users.

It is Native yes. I live near the Senaca Nations reservations in western New York. The name had something to do with a lazy ancestor...someone who never showed up to do anything until the shadows were long. We just kind of laugh about that. Like we laugh when we see all those stupid wolf t-shirts on people. Give us a break.
If you want history on native peoples and how they treated whites, you can start with how they treated the Jesuit missionaries.
You can start here (scroll to the History section) http://www.tolatsga.org/iro.html but it is by no means the only source of information. But beware the history revisionists!
We are no different than any other people. Some good, some bad. What uncivilized peoples are not barbaric? Yeah, we've been victimized over the years. So what?! Who hasn't? Makes us part of a big club. But I am not afraid of the truth and the truth is if not for the whites, I would today be chewing the leather for my husband's mocassins.

Tina, my point would be that any group can reach back in history and find offenses against a group. The Irish came here, many as slaves (indentured servants) and were treated less than deciently. I will not waste my time on the native issue, because treaties were broken, lies were told and nobody, including most of the natives want to go back and linger there. There are plenty of people who find it easy to complain and attack others in this country when open communication does more to "solve problems". I do appologize if my comparison offended you. I didn't bring up what the natives did to whites, because I was comparing it to Wright's pulpit sermons reaching back in history to bring up offenses in a hateful, onesided way. As we can see by the methods used by the "trolls" and Jerimiah Wright, hateful communication does nothing to promote a better world, and reliving 100+ year old history doesn't do much either.
