With Obama, "Change" Means More of the Same
Moonbat actress Susan Sarandon supports Barack Obama, impressed with his ethnicity and Muslim name, and "can't wait to see what he stands for." But what he stands for is already public record: more of the same. More taxing, more spending, more explosive growth for the federal behemoth.
He has extravagant plans to increase spending on:
- Subsidized college education
- Early Head Start
- After-school programs
- Substance abuse and mental health counseling
- Mortgage bailouts
- Subsidized housing
- Feel-good programs like "Promise Neighborhoods" that flush money down ghettoes
- Services for Iraqi refugees
- Foreign assistance (to be doubled to $50 billion)
Paying for all this will require raising taxes. He'll start with Social Security payroll taxes.
Oh, and B.O. also has plans to meddle in local radio programming.
Homeland security is where he runs out of plans. "Hope for the best" sums up the policy. As for Iran, if it nukes Israel Obambi might "step up our economic pressure and political isolation." Ahmadinejad must be cackling with glee, wringing his oily hands as he awaits Jimmy Carter II.

* Subsidized college education
Government subsidies only allow Big Education to continue to impose tuition and fee increases at a vastly higher rate than that of inflation. It's welfare for college educrats, and mostly a waste of money as long as they're teaching useless bullcrap like "gender studies" and whatever it is Ward Churchill, Juan Cole, and Madonna Constantine are indoctrinating their hapless students with. If they exist at all, subsidies should be limited to the hard sciences and engineering, which are actually useful to society.
* Early Head Start
The Federal government has no business doing this.
* After-school programs
The Federal government has no business doing this.
* Substance abuse and mental health counseling
Something else the government has no business doing. Charities have an incentive to cure people. Bureaucrats have an incentive to keep them coming back for more 'treatment.'
* Mortgage bailouts
i.e. taxing people who saved and invested and giving the money to people who treated their home equity like an ATM machine. Once again, smart productive people are punished to bail out the feckless.
* Subsidized housing
i.e. taxpayer-paid housing for gang-bangers.
* Feel-good programs like "Promise Neighborhoods" that flush money down ghettoes
Jennifer Granholm did this in Michigan with the "cool cities" program, and we all know how great Detroit is doing)
* Services for Iraqi refugees
Why don't we pay to put them back in their own country instead? Given Obama's sympathies and the experiences of Britain, France, and the Netherlands, it's very likely the effect of this program would be importing radical jihad.
* Foreign assistance (to be doubled to $50 billion)
i.e. Obama wants to pad Swiss bank accounts for third world tyrants. Countries should be ineligible for aid unless the have open elections and free market economies, and then the aid should take the form of direct development (i.e. building roads, rails, and power plants) and not cash... that just ends up buying private jets and Mercedes for elite third world kleptocrats.
Not to mention, when Obama repeals the Bush tax cuts and ends social security caps, the rate of taxation on people who have money to invest will jump from 35% to 52% in an already weak economy. And the USA's corporate tax rate, which is already the highest corporate tax rate in the developed world, will jump another 14%. Brilliant. You think the dollar is weak now, just you wait.

v the coward,
For a guy who admittededly has NO interest in the upcoming election, you sure have a bunch of bullshit to rattle off with regard to it.
Seriously, why do you care what Obama wants to do. You've made it clear that you are NOT interested in the election. Go back to your cave and your Bible and wait for your judgement day already.

Hash the TwatBat,
For a guy who admittedly has no interest in associating with conservatives and their like, you sure have a lot of time on your hands to post your bullshit on this board.
Seriously, why do you care what V the K has to say? You've made it clear you are a sack of shit LibSnot elitist SwineClit. Go back to your hacky sack patchouli stink empowerment bum camp drum circle and panhandle with the rest of your deadbeat kind. Take your Chomsky books with you too.

An article in the Asia Times explains a lot about Obama and the influential women in his life. The more I see, the stranger it gets.

VtheK, I don't need to click on your link to know it's about that failed gubernatorial candidate Geoffrey Fieger. I can't say for sure if he would have been any more disastrous than Jezebel Granholm has been for the state of Michigan, but I can say I'm glad we had the sense to re-elect John Engler in 1998, rather than sending that moonbat lawyer to Lansing.
HashholeFAN, what a pathetic posting from you. You couldn't even muster a feeble attempt at refuting VtheK. Instead, you plopped a bunch of childish insults and snotty self-righteousness in here.

Looks like Hashfanatic and Hashfanatic fan could use a vacation. I suggest Berkeley. The rain is gone, the weather is nice and they are giving away a free lunch. Bring a few bucks and spend some time. Bring sleeping bag, hash pipe and plenty of hash (you will be expected to share).

You can then go next door to Oakland where you can get that degree you've been working on for the last seven and a half years.

I don't see how giving money to the things listed is bad. It's amusing that your only excuse for almost of those items is that the government has no business doing those things, yet you don't mind that the government was able to tap into private phone lines in our homes. Oh how predictable the hypocrital rhetoric of the generic conservative has become. It's the same old bullshit everyday. Why do you always have to spread hate and division. It hasn't worked for the past 8 years, why would it work now. Just stop and think for ONE MINUTE about what you say.

Brilliant. We're teetering on the edge of a recession and they want to take Eight Hundred Billion dollars out of the economy. And that's not counting the money that will be going to Washington when the Democrats let the Bush tax cuts expire. All to spend on things grown adults should be able to do for themselves.

Hey I have a great idea lets have a very expensive land war in Asia with no end in sight and have tax cuts !!
Posted by: john Ryan at February 26, 2008 4:26 PM
Lest you forget that Rangle, PolPotlosie, Ried, Clinton and Obama all want to:
- Raid your unfair '401-K' savings by a one time (yeah right) 15% grab. They will reward you for saving by taking it.
- Start taxing all tax defferred Roth/other savings at the income rate, after the 15% grab.
- Place no limits as to what people who work must contribute to Social Security, even though they will get the least when they are eligible, because they saved some money.
Need I go on?
Dont's forget all of the 300+ Fee (Fee = Tax) increases that Obama voted for in Il govt.

assfanaticFAN,
I don't suppose you can come up with any debatable points about the things on which Obama will piss away money. After you're done delivering pizzas and you're back your parents' basement, jerking off to porn, maybe you could put together a few coherent thoughts.

Panday: ROFLMAO!
Posted by: Doug at February 26, 2008 5:43 PM
Oh, I forgot -
Lower the standard and definition of economic success for the average working legal US citizen to the point where the welfare moms and illegals will become the new middle class.
Wealth distribution (and they are telling you that they are going to do it!) is socialism.
Too bad that the currently young voters have already been socialized in high schools and universities by socialist left teachers (Ward Churchill anyone) and they will be sorry 20 years after they estabilish themselves and realize what they gave up.
How many people I meet in CA that are in their 40s and 50s that have become moderates and conseratives (were very liberal when young) over the simple fact that they realized that they voted and fought for a CA socialist system that will not now let them retired.
Practice saying 'Want fries with that sonny' for when you are 72 years old.

Depending on how the next couple of months of run up to the election go, you may want to go liquid with your cash holdings. You may want to consider that taking the penalty for early withdraw from your 401K may be the smart move.
Obama spending plan = driving law abiding US citizens into the dirt to hang on to what ever they can. Can you say Black Market/cash economy coming? Heck, that is what the 21 Million Illegals are using.
US enforcing tax laws on us working citizens, but not on 21 million illegal immigrants......
Now - if these people are breaking the law, I can't endorse that, however, when we get to the point that we smother the creation of personal wealth in the US = socialism.

Oiao,
I came across this quote today:
“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism, but under the name of liberalism they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program until one day America will be a socialist nation without ever knowing how it happened.”
-Norman Thomas, American socialist

I home we share common ground on this:
Social security taxes are one of the most regressive taxes, and he wants to raise those. And I think anyone who supports more taxes doesn't pay taxes anyhow.

Change? An email I received today:
What's Under My Hat
Monte Tucker
January 28, 2008
Howdy friends and neighbors. Come on first Tuesday in November!
I have already had about all of the Presidential election I can stand. Surely, somewhere out there in this great nation is a "good ol' boy or gal," that is worth voting for. You know, someone that has actually done something, not just talked about what they think they have done. It's only the first quarter in the game between the R's and the D's. Both sides keep talking about time for change. Just what are they going to change? They obviously haven't changed the game of politics. Hillbillary and Bama Lama Ding Dong boost the word "change" every time I see the media put their face on my boob tube.
The first place they could start changing things would be on the Senate floor that they're already on. Just go and look at their voting records for the last several months and you will find they aren't showing up to vote. You know, the job they campaigned so hard to get by promising "change," but they just don't have the time. McCain isn't immune from this either.
Let's talk "change." What in the world do these hot air compressors think they are going to change and why? Again, I'm just a professional bovine relocation specialist (it's the 21st century, we used to call them cowboys). But the way I see it from Sunny Point, Oklahoma, how are they going to change the greatest nation in the world? All of the candidates are demanding we must change! OK. I wake up a free man every morning and I'm free to do anything that is morally right or I can do nothing. If I choose to do something productive that day, well I can whistle at my dog, start up my ol' tan feed truck that I bought with the help of a free enterprising banking system I chose to use. Plus, there's the fact that other free Americans assembled this truck, and the companies that bought, sold and hauled parts and supplies to make that pickup possible. As I turn the key, ol' tans fires up on diesel fuel that a mean, nasty, big oil company conveniently made very accessible and affordable to me. I turn out of my land that I can freely own, onto a county maintained road that leads to any point in North America I would choose to go to that day. Also, in this country, I am free to own livestock and free to care for them so that the livestock will return a profit so I can repay my bank, buy my feed and fuel, and provide for my family. On Sunday Morning (or any other day that ends in "Y") my family is free drive from our house on a ribbon of roads that lead to the Church of our choice and worship the real owner of all things we know, God. We can give praise to Him for all and especially for Jesus.
Why can't these hopefuls for the highest-ranking governmental seat see that it is just that simple? Provide me infrastructure and protect me from these knot-headed whack's that think they can take away our freedom. Hillbillary, Bama Mama or McNobrain aren't going to change anything. The foundations of this great country can't be changed by one person, no matter how much they think they can. As Americans, we have the right to succeed or fail and try again as we please. As a free man, I'm getting good at failing but I get smarter when I try again.
When presidential candidates tout change, the only thing I see in this country that needs changing is them. Life in America is good and for those that don't think so, you're free to leave at any time, go to another country of your choice and try to change it.
I'm Monte Tucker, and that is what's under my professional bovine relocation specialist hat. Wait, I'm not changing, that is what's under my COWBOY hat!
Remember our freedom is not free; try to wear a red shirt on Fridays to show support for our troops.

Jimbo, you silly goose, I lived in Oklahoma, never recalled Sunny Point. But I find the article/email interesting.
They should have used Gotebo (think I spelt it right, but I spells like a moran).

Thanks for the post Jimbo - good read.
I did Oklahoma twice on active duty. Fun state except riding 35 with apes in Jan - Feb can be real cold, if you know what I mean.
Still, did'nt have to dodge palm frawns on the wet lava pavement.. that's a bitch also, if you know what I mean.
Posted by: Oiao at February 26, 2008 11:08 PM
Oiao, inform me, what are apes?
Sorry for being hypersensitive. And sorry for not getting your post, I too served, and I got a medal, lol, not proud but would never throw it aka kerry style. 35 as in I-35 or what?
Posted by: Mr. Parker at February 26, 2008 11:24 PM
oh, and I am thinking of trying to go sign up again. I need the health insurance. And is a decent job, makes a difference type crap but it is real.

You never heard of 'Bright Idea', Texas either.
Nor have you heard of such places as 'Coming Up Roses', Idaho, or 'I Believe' Tennessee.
No... Hope is beyond some - as are the 'sunny points' made by a real 'cow herder' from Oklahoma.
Think about it.
Gawd. Why am I wasting my time trying to explain something to you anyway. Hmmphtt.
Signing off from 'Bed Time' Hawaii.

wow reading my posts I sound white.
Does that amaze you? But I don't count because I am light skin or whatever they call it, I don't count on either race. That asshole Obama is darker than me and he wants to call people like me out on it.

Jimbo, I want to give you a pass, but you are a racist asshole.
Posted by: Mr. Parker at February 26, 2008 11:42 PM
please ban jimbo the racist

either ban him or me, unlike jimbo, I am not racist

"Jimbo, I want to give you a pass, but you are a racist asshole."
What did he say that is racist?
"please ban jimbo the racist"
The only racist comments I've seen on this site have come from the leftist trolls.
"either ban him or me, unlike jimbo, I am not racist"
Maybe. But you are very stupid.
Posted by: Anonymous at February 27, 2008 5:18 AM
Ok anon, you got me. It is ok to call a group of people apes (based on race)? I thought for sure I was being hypersensitive, but seeing no response, not so sure. And I don't care if he was, to be honest, I just want him to man up to it.
I would respect a racist before I would respect a coward.
