Plagiarizing on Plagiarism
Ty McDonald, a columnist at Texas Tech's Daily Toreador, promises to go far in the world of journalism:
The Daily Toreador's editorial board was made aware by a Texas Tech faculty member of an instance of plagiarism.
Columnist Ty McDonald took direct statements, ideas and content from "Plagiarism and intellectual loot," a post on Christiaan Briggs' Weblog located at http://last-straw.net for two of his articles: "A new way to think about thoughts" and "Plagiarism is not a sin."
Plagiarizing an article about plagiarism shows a sense of postmodern irony that will surely appeal to the trendily jaded editors infesting the mainstream media. No doubt Ty will feature this accomplishment prominently on his resume.
On a tip from Lyle.

""A new way to think about thoughts" and "Plagiarism is not a sin.""
He thinks plagiarism is not a sin? I'd like to see him explain that to all my teachers, especially in college, who gave us detailed accounts of how plagiarism is wrong and anyone caught doing it will get in MAJOR trouble.

Downloading and copying music without paying, downloading movies off the Internet, plagiarizing others' written work; All these things play nicely in communism. After all, if redistribution of wealth is OK, why not redistribution of music, movies, and written work as well?
