Mother Blames Government for Not Raising Her Daughter
The divorced mother of a 15-year-old girl who drunkenly filmed a "happy-slapping" killing has figured out who's to blame for her daughter's imprisonment: the British government:
I suspected my daughter was in with the wrong crowd but you can't keep a teenager locked up. You can scream and shout for help but little notice is taken until something terrible happens. Now the whole country is watching and pointing the finger — but what use is that? A man is dead and my daughter is in custody. Surely prevention is better than knee-jerk reactions? I can't criticize the individual social worker who has been assigned to my daughter but it's the system that has failed.
Here we see yet another symptom of encroaching socialism: people so incapable of shouldering individual responsibility, they hold the government to blame for not raising their children for them.
On a tip from Wiggins.

This is already going on in the US.
Any of you met some real inner-city 'folks' from Detroit, Atlanta........
The social welfare state is already here. It was never a mainstream issue until the added $$ burden of all of the new Illegal Immigrants started to fully strain the system.

Global Warming could lead to massive snake invasion. Global Warming has officially become the Killer Bee Scare of the 20th century.

If kids drop out of school, it's the government's fault, if they kill people, it's the system's fault... yep... there is plenty of this happening here. When kids grow up hearing adult apologists making excuses for murdering babies in abortion mills or for the "poor freedom fighters" that kill innocent civilians in open markets or sporting events with suicide bombs", is it possible that they get a few "mixed messages" about right and wrong????

Society failed! Both mother and daughter have been made to feel like losers because.....

This kind of shit could only happen in disarmed Britain. A concealed G27 with nine rounds of .40 sounds exactly like the remedy for this social malady.

another "system" failure?
kill the system. smother it. stab it. give it a proper burial and then we can go back to being personally responsible.
the "system" is apparently the villain here and everywhere there's a "system".

Makes perfect sense to me that the mother'd blame the state. In welfare cultures, men are reduced to sperm donors and the father's role in the family is filled by the state in the 'person' of the welfare system itself.
