Is White Attire Racist?
Scripps College Dean of Students Debra Wood is in a righteous rage over fliers advertising a 70s theme party at Claremont McKenna College. Because black lights were planned for the party, people were encouraged to wear white — thus it was referred to as a "white party." Apparently Wood took this to mean only whites would be allowed.
It wasn't because she didn't notice the black girls dancing on the poster:

Apparently Woods objected to them too, because she denounced the flier in an email sent to Scripps students as not only "racist," but "sexist" as well.
Naturally the standard groveling apologies were issued. Brad Walters, president of the Associated Students of Claremont McKenna College, whimpered that he was "deeply sorry" to anyone offended, and bleated piteously about a "failure of communication."

I believe that White Parties are popular in the gay community.

If the poster had featured a black man up front with white women dancing in the background, you can bet your life that this Debra Wood would have loudly applauded such a "celebration of diversity".
