Did Steven Kazmierczak Go Muslim?

A possible motive has emerged for Northern Illinois University mass-murdering loser Steven Kazmierczak — he might have been infected with the Muslim bug. A Muslim journalist named Rasmieyh Abdelnabi knew him personally and reports:

We would also see each other on campus during the semesters we didn't have any classes together and catch up.
Our topics of choice: foreign policy and the Middle East. He would especially enjoy practicing his Arabic on me. In 2004, NIU decided to offer a year's worth of Arabic classes. Steve took both classes without hesitation, excited as could be. […]
Once we took a course called "The Politics of the Middle East." At the beginning of the course, our instructor informed us a research paper would be due by the end of the semester. Steve decided on Hamas, which is known mainly to the world as being a Palestinian terrorist group, which was the first thing that interested Steve about the group. But he also heard Hamas funded many social services, which also interested him. How could one group be put into two completely different categories, Steve would ask.
Unlike most of us, Steve started his research from day one, reading every book he could find on Hamas. He'd give me a status report when we saw each other in class. Steve said that his perception of Hamas changed with all the research he did.

Kazmierczak's friend Abdelnabi is a radical, who wrote pro-Palestinian articles, spearheaded hijab wearing and was a leader of the Wahhabi Muslim Student Union at NIU. Coincidentally, she wrote a piece on Muslim convert Derrick Shareef, who planned to shoot Jews at a synagogue just down the block from the NIU mosque.

None of this proves Kazmierczak was motivated by Islam. But if the media were as curious as it is dhimmified and politically correct, this would make an interesting lead.

Too bad he wasn't a girl. A veil might have improved his looks.

Hamas-style Islamic supremacy is a more likely motivation than the "flat earth theory" that clown Ames was talking about the other day.

I guess we'll see where this goes on the blogs because the MSM isn't likely to touch it.

That is about the weakest argument that I have ever seen.

Posted by: john Ryan at February 22, 2008 7:40 AM

Really John? Weaker than Ames blaming flat land and traditional values?

Wannabe radical libtard professors and totalitarian ideologies can be very influenial on a young person who may have already been a couple bricks shy of a load.

"That is about the weakest argument that I have ever seen."

John, when has that ever stopped them before?

Posted by: hashfanatic at February 22, 2008 8:09 AM

sounds like he may have been a little symPATHETIC?

Posted by: nanc at February 22, 2008 8:10 AM

You can bet if Kazmierczak had been a Rush Limbaugh listener or an Iraq war veterab, the media would have spent weeks connecting the dots. But since he apparently was a social-progressive Islamist sympathizer, the story gets scheisse-canned.

Posted by: V the K at February 22, 2008 8:26 AM

Hey, they don't need an "argument". All you need is a random article, and a picture most of which areused over and over and over again. Every once in awhile throw in an article about the Swedes, so you can "search" for pictures of busty girls in bikinis.

They've all but admitted that they don't even need to read the articles, just pick an assumption and come to some hysterical conclusion.

It's amazing that these are the same people who call 911 truthers and conspiracy theorists nutjobs. different side, same coin...

"They've all but admitted that they don't even need to read the articles, just pick an assumption and come to some hysterical conclusion."

Stop saying mean things about moonbats, HashFan.

Posted by: forest at February 22, 2008 8:39 AM

That's it hashfan, keep your eyes shut and ignore any facts that might lead to undesired answers. The post was careful not to draw any conclusions. Do you object to asking questions?

This guy was a sick individual who is solely responsible for his actions, but if there are campus groups preaching ideologies that could help push confused minds into causing great harm, it is absolutely vital to ask questions. Our media studiously ignores uncomfortable questions about Islam.

they're fearful of the fatwaback and greens such news comes with...

Posted by: nanc at February 22, 2008 9:16 AM

Hashpotatoefan,
What's wrong, don't you like busty young women in bikinis?

Posted by: Farmer Ted at February 22, 2008 9:33 AM

Ted, you have to remember that hash isn't firing on all cylinders, because being left-wing requires holding entirely contrary beliefs and somehow choking down the intense whining noise of cognitive dissonance. For instance, they like to believe, and shout very loudly about how they believe in freedom, and about first amendment rights, and so on, right up until they see a picture they don't like, at which point they have to find some kind of reason it's evil so they can get it censored.

It's hard being a leftie. Fighting for tyranny while shouting for freedom isn't something that's easy to do for long without getting a wee bit unhinged.

Let's see, the guy was obsessed with the penultimate terrorist organization, members of which regularly walk into public places and blow up dozens of innocent men, women, and children (until Israel built a wall) and kill themselves in the process.

Nope, I don't see any possible connection there!

Posted by: ent at February 22, 2008 10:18 AM

Umm, ENT, YOU are ALL obsessed with "terrorist" organizations.

Are you a terrorist?

Posted by: hashfanaticFAN at February 22, 2008 12:45 PM

"Umm, ENT, YOU are ALL obsessed with "terrorist" organizations.
"Are you a terrorist?"

Let's take your "logic" in another direction. YOU, hashfanaticFAN, John Ryan, hasfanatic, Lee, and others are "obsessed with CONSERVATIVE sites". Are YOU ALL Conservatives?

Maybe you're one of those Liberal fools who demand that everyone STOP TALKING ABOUT TERRORISTS, thinking that this will make them "go away".

"They've all but admitted that they don't even need to read the articles, just pick an assumption and come to some hysterical conclusion."

Funny... hashmarkFAN said the exact same thing about Van engaging in racial profiling when he said the Mexican Woman who killed the young kids on the bus was "probably illegal". He implied it was a "hysterical conclusion" that Van jumped to? In only a few hours... guess what? Van was RIGHT!!!! Now where is YOUR Apology hashmarkFAN??????

That is about the weakest argument that I have ever seen.

Hyperbole is not a satisfactory substitute for good arguments, logic and proof.

Substantiate your claim that the argument 'Militant Islam motivated the NIU shooter' is weak, otherwise it is merely your opinion - and baseless, unhinged opinion at that.

Posted by: BUUUUURRRRNING HOT at February 22, 2008 6:29 PM

you're the resident terrorist, hash.

Posted by: nanc at February 22, 2008 8:07 PM

not to mention an izlamofascist sympathizer.

hey, you could be this guy...

Posted by: nanc at February 22, 2008 8:08 PM

Funny how all the libtards gain the benefit of being protected because they are a minority and the majority raises children willing to do the work and make the sacrifices necessary to defend America from any threat, and then they make ignorant and disrespectful comments in public forums to "get attention and spread their fantasies". I'd take one American troop over 100 worthless pukes like the "We've smoked too much HASH twins".

And to think, the MSM could only report that the kid hadn't been taking his meds. But of course when people start digging and the truth comes out, the libtards are busy denying it. There are no terrorists, only freedom fighters trying to keep Americans from stealing their oil. What a bunch of idiots.

Posted by: HoosierArmyMom at February 22, 2008 10:15 PM

Hosermom, just hope your little "hero" realizes nobody's going to bust down any doors trying to hire him, with human resources departments already acknowledging the threat to fellow employees from untreated, Iraq-damaged vets...

If he even makes it back.

Posted by: hashfanatic at February 23, 2008 7:19 AM

What a vile piece of shit you are hash. You must really hate yourself to post the things you do. Everything you write just reinforces how wrong you have it. No matter how many times you take a swipe at someone on this site, your life is still going to suck no matter who becomes President next year or how the war goes. Get used to it.

Posted by: Beef at February 23, 2008 8:17 PM

You know, the statistics demonstrate quite the opposite as far as Iraq and Afghan Vets go. My son will be just fine, and he plans to use his GI Bill to further his education and care for his family. I certainly know many people who would take a Vet over some punked out socialist who has gone to college and been indoctrinated. You are demonstrating what a worthless piece of crap you really are. Nothing you say is founded in fact, it's just more hysterical moonbat mania!

Posted by: HoosierArmyMom at February 24, 2008 1:55 PM

Oh, and thanks Beef, everything you said is oh so true about hashmark.

Posted by: HoosierArmyMom at February 24, 2008 1:57 PM

Awww. Poor victim.

Posted by: hashfanatic at February 24, 2008 4:27 PM

Part of my job is to recruit veterans for the construction industry. Vets are highly valued by employers for their discipline and mental and physical toughness. Many contractors prefer vets over other applicants. My colleagues and I are having a hard time keeping up with the demand.

Posted by: steven at February 24, 2008 6:49 PM

Yeah, you're not too bright there. Abedelnabi is as far from radical as they come. You have obviously never met her. She's is Palestinian, that doesn't make her a terrorist. What you have here is borderline libel.
