David Shuster Suspended for Dissing Clintons
It's one thing to praise infantile college journalists for publishing obscene insults directed at the President, to imply that Christians torture for fun, to exploit a dead serviceman while springing an inept ambush on a Congresswoman, to dismiss anyone interested in border security as a fanatic, to spread false stories about the Bush Administration, to make wild accusations of voter intimidation, etc., etc., ad nauseam. But when MSNBC jackass David Shuster proclaimed that the Clinton campaign has been "pimping out" Chelsea, he went over the line.
Clintonista Howard Wolfson responded by threatening to nix any Shrillary appearances in MSNBC debates. The network promptly suspended Shuster, who will be allowed on the air only to grovel and apologize.
Let that be a lesson to other obnoxious talking heads: save your abuse for Christians and Republicans, lest there be consequences.

Jimbo: Shuster is paid to do a specific job: promote MSNBC's agenda. That agenda now is to get Obama elected President. He just went a little overboard. They may have to switch back to promoting Hillary again.

The petition
We, the undersigned condemn the Berkeley City Council’s treasonous attack on US Marine Recruiters stationed in their city. We ask that Congress cut off funds from any and all municipal entity within the confines of the city of Berkeley, California, until such time as the city council withdraws it’s action.
The City Council has voted to tell the Marines their downtown recruiting station is not welcome and “if recruiters choose to stay, they do so as uninvited and unwelcome guests.”
The measure passed last week by a vote of 8-1.
The council also voted to explore enforcing a city anti-discrimination law, focusing on the military’s “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy.
In a separate item, the council voted, also 8-1, to give the Marxist protest group Code Pink a parking space in front of the recruiting office once a week for six months and a free sound permit for protesting once a week.

Shuster's crime in this case? Giving MSNBC the appearance of taking a side in the Dem catfight. They want to avoid endorsing a candidate until one is actually anointed, so that they won't be subject to accusations of flip-flopping. Thus, Shuster will be suspended until one is chosen. If it's Hillary, look for his subsequent demotion or canning shortly afterwards.
