Harn, what I've tried to get you to try and understand is that many of us don't see this military as being ours.

In fact, we don't even see it as actually being an AMERICAN military anymore.

We don't have the same sort of unquestioning respect for them that you do.

Today I was reading an article about a group of Iraq soldiers, apparently home on leave, that were taking it upon themselves to distribute leaflets in their respective neighborhoods, delineating what they are REALLY doing over there, and how fruitless, and what a waste of life and money it all is.

If this had happened more frequently three years ago, I might not have felt the contempt I feel for this military right now. Now, to me, it's all a day late and a dollar too short.

I seriously wonder if I will ever trust the military again. As it stands, they are the LAST ones I want on my street if we were ever attacked.
