BBC Complicit After the Fact in Terror Attack
If the BBC's haughty irresponsibility and liberal sympathy for any enemy of Western Civilization isn't criminal, it ought to be. The Telegraph reports on the trial of Mohammed Hamid, who was involved in the July 21, 2005 terror attack on London:
A BBC producer failed to give police information that would have helped track down the July 21 bombers, the trial was told.
Don't Panic, I'm Islamic, which featured the group paintballing and an interview with Mohammed Hamid, was shown on BBC2 on June 12, 2005.
Nasreen Suleaman, the producer, told the court that Hamid said he would use his £300 fee to settle the fine he had been given by magistrates for racially abusing two policemen at his Oxford Street stall.
Called as a defence witness, Miss Suleaman admitted that she had spoken to Hamid in the days following the July 21 attacks and found out he knew the wanted men.
She said she thought he was scared the fugitives might try to call him but did not contact the police because she felt under "no obligation" to do so.
Miss Suleaman claimed she told BBC managers of the situation but no one passed on the information to the authorities.
Of course, we couldn't expect the BBC to take sides against "freedom fighters" by lifting a finger to help authorities defend the civilian population from terrorists.

If a suicide bomber killed a loved one of the BBC management or Miss Suleaman, I wonder if they would feel any "obligation to support law enforcement" then????

I guess if you think it's OK to destroy your own offspring by violently ripping a fetus to pieces, you wouldn't be too outraged over a suicide bomber blowing granny to smithereens, eh c'teen?

c'teen, you're right about how easy they forget. I love the Darryl Worley song, "Have You Forgotten?," with the great line: "They took all the footage off my TV; if it were up to me, I'd show it every day." Referring, of course, to 9/11, which is virtually forgotten in this country now, thanks to our ridiculous, terrorist-adoring media. The BBC, like our idiots, have no doubt done everything they can to "forget" 7/7, and the perpetrators -- hell, in this case (7/21), they are actively aiding and abetting the very people who want to kill them!
"Treason" doesn't even begin to cut it -- "rank stupidity" comes close, though . . .

Concerning the BBC, it is socialism at its best, just like our PBS. Living off of the tax supported status to generate and promogate the views of Moonbats.
In the UK (any of you'all from the UK jump in on this and correct me) the BBC still taxes every household with a TV to support its existence, on top of goverment subs.
Now, most of my friends in the UK have Dish or other sattelite service, not airwave service to watch TV.
So in the US, you would be paying for premium cable service (while not watching/using it) while still paying for the Dish service,so that the propaganda can still be broadcast.
1994 - someone in the BBC read the book, or helped gost write it....

@jc14 - Yes, the BBC enforces a "License Fee" on every household over here with a TV (and now even if you have a PC).
The BBC takes political correctness to unbelievable extremes. They have even spent £750,000 ($1.5mil) to "ring fence" 15 out of 30 new jobs for ethnic minorities, while cutting 1800 other jobs. They also shun any news report that could be seen as negative by minority religious groups!
This is supposed to be an unbiased publicly funded channel. In reality, it's the propaganda machine for our left-wing Government.
