The right to engage in free political discourse is far more intrinsic to preserving a Democratic state than the right to use dirty words on TV.

We could ban all pronography tomorrow, and our Republic would survive just fine, and probably be a better place. But when we ban the type of free political discourse the left calls 'hate speech,' or withhold broadcast licenses from radio and TV stations because we don't agree with their political viewpoints, as the left also wants to do, we no longer have a Democratic-Republic.

The "right" doesn't want you to be arrested for saying "fuck, pussy, cunt", if that's what floats your boat. What the "right" wants is to be able to watch prime-time with our kids and not have to hear that. Put it on a cable channel, put it on late at night, put a warning on the show, do whatever, then you can curse until your heart is content.

I don't hear anyone on the right screaming "hate crime" when a boob pops out on national tv, what the right says is keep it clean, I'm watching this with my children. The left wants to go beyond that and actually arrest people for politically incorrect speech as a way to suppress opposing views.
