More Pro-Terrorist Fauxtography From Al Reuters

Here's some of the funniest fauxtography to come out of al Reuters since it photoshopped smoke into a picture of Beirut to make it look like Jews were burning down the city:

palistinian_parliament.jpg

Above we see Palestinian parliamentarians, probably deciding on how many suicide bombers to send into Israel. The candlelight is to indicate that the poor guys have no power, thanks to sanctions against the Hamas-run Gaza Strip.

Of course, they could always open the drapes, which the daytime sun is clearly trying to penetrate. The willful idiots at Reuters published a series of these silly pictures, as if the farcical candlelight session weren't staged.

On a tip from Cheetah.

"probably deciding on how many suicide bombers to send into Israel."

How many "suicide bombings" have occurred in Israel lately?

When was the last "suicide bombing" in Israel?

"Of course, they could always open the drapes, which the daytime sun is clearly trying to penetrate."

Presumably, if you are one of those pesky "parliamentarians" in occupied Gaza, or even one of those annoying Palestinians who just insist on refusing not to be starved or violently slaughtered, and you are meeting in a known location, you are aware of the constant presence of snipers, Israeli terrorists piloting helicopter gunships or firing rockets and/or incendiary devices, or even various homegrown suppressive elements from firing AT you, through uncovered windows?

Only an American, brainwashed by the enemy within, who has never known a moment of fear of anything reality-based, or been under attack by a murderous oppressor, could look at the Reuters photo and not be able to figure out why the drapes cannot be opened (or, why a starving people, besieged by illegal blockade, cannot afford Hunter Douglas light-filtering honeycomb shades)...

Typical. And disturbing.

Talk about propaganda, pot meet kettle. So I should not laugh at your assertion this meeting was set for suicide bombers?

Posted by: Oiao at January 27, 2008 1:08 PM

The "palestinians" have been using staged photo-ops for years and years - and usually the liberal media of the West swallows it hook, line, and C4.

Remember a few years back the 'tragic footage' of the "palestinian" father and son "caught in a crossfire" - and which was it; either the father died in the son's arms or the son died in the father's arms... They found out it was completely staged, they even had rehearsals - but the liberal media never acknowledged the ruse - other than with some crap like "Well, it could have happened."

The only people who can justify such propaganda are braindead liberals. (Sorry for the redundancy.)

Posted by: Jimbo at January 27, 2008 2:14 PM

Hash,
Your right. Those nasty Isreali thugs should just go ahead and wipe palestine off the map.

Posted by: Farmer Ted at January 27, 2008 2:30 PM

Let me get this straight, these Palestinians are protesting the cutting off of their electricity by the Israelis by using candles, these Palestinians are some "of those annoying Palestinians who just insist on refusing not to be starved or violently slaughtered".

So Israel is has been supplying electricity for them for years but starving and slaughtering them at the same time.

Funny, I didn't even know that the wicked Zionists were supplying electricity (and water) to Gaza in the first place.

I love the other pics from the last few days of the poor, starving, destitute, desperate Gazans returning from Egypt with 50" flat panel TVs, stereos, booze, and other "life essentials".

And you gotta love the Hamas guy in WaPo yesterday, bleating about how the Palestinians were "slowly disappearing" due to Israeli crimes. Guess that dude hasn't visited their maternity wards lately.

So Hash is saying that closing the blinds will keep bullets, rockets, bombs and other incendiary devices from coming in the window? Those must be some friggin' tough blinds. Could he try any harder to rationalize this obvious publicity ploy?

Posted by: Jimbo at January 27, 2008 4:25 PM

Despite protests that the barrier would fail (sound familiar?), ever since Israel put up this defensive shield the Palestinians have found that their most potent weapon, the suicide bomber, has become almost obsolete.

Ironically, it was Hamas that first began using suicide bombers to attack innocent civilians in Israel.

In June 2002 a Time Magazine poll taken in the Gaza Strip found that 78% of the population approved of such suicide bombings, considerably more than supported peace talks (60%). There have been plenty of other similar studies and for the most part have had similar results.

Since the failure of suicide bombing Hamas and its allies have taken to lobbing rockets over the border into Israel. The failure of such efforts compounds the frustration of Hamas.

Happily for them they can cut their own power and blame it on Israel, who continues to supply 70% of their power without interruption while the Israeli workers providing electricity to Gaza get wounded by Qassam rockets.

Hamas can always count on the support of the Western media and other talking heads like Hash and Mr. Parker.

"I believe it was just before the Israelis put up the wall and stomped the shit out of Hezbollah and Hamas."

Uh, when did that happen, in steve's world.

Israeli aggression against the sovereign nations of Lebanon, Syria, etc. only served to kill thousands of innocent Lebanese civilians and render countless others homeless...driving the refugees directly into the arms of a strengthened Hezbollah.

On what platform, and only platform, was Hamas able to win the first democratic election in Gaza, that you choose to ignore?

SECURITY, you dunderhead!

And, steve?

The apartheid wall actually brought famine, hardship, and real, live danger to Palestinian Christians as well, whom I assume you also wish to be slaughtered.

"Remember a few years back the 'tragic footage' of the "palestinian" father and son "caught in a crossfire" - and which was it; either the father died in the son's arms or the son died in the father's arms... Jimbo, the jury still happens to be out on that one, and even the Zionist webmasters who created that delightful little psyop on your ass have begun to scrub references to it on their sites.

"So Israel is has been supplying electricity for them for years but starving and slaughtering them at the same time.

Funny, I didn't even know that the wicked Zionists were supplying electricity (and water) to Gaza in the first place."

Serena, the "wicked Zionists" happen to be OBLIGATED by international law to Gaza because the "wicked Zionists" happen to be OCCUPYING Gaza!!

Check your copy of the Geneva Conventions (unless, of course, you believe your "twoops" are the only ones on Earth to actually be covered under it).

"I love the other pics from the last few days of the poor, starving, destitute, desperate Gazans returning from Egypt with I love the other pics from the last few days of the poor, starving, destitute, desperate Gazans returning from Egypt with 50" flat panel TVs, stereos, booze, and other "life essentials".."

Do you, mega?

Well, let's think about it.

If you would ever need to feed your starving family, imprisoned in a country utterly devoid of any basic human essentials, and were suddenly offered the opportunity to "break out", as it were, into a neighboring nation, that did not hate you enough to kill you, with a limited window of opportunity to shop, and you went into town and discovered the town had already run OUT those basic staples, what would be the next logical thing to do?

a) Turn around and return to your family empty-handed, or:

b)instead purchase "50" flat panel TVs, stereos, booze, and other "life essentials", so that this merchandise could then be sold, traded, bartered, etc. for...REAL LIFE ESSENTIALS, like FOOD, MEDICINE, WATER PURIFICATION EQUIPMENT, CANDLES, etc.

Now, mega, I do understand that allowing yourself to actually empathize with another human being's predicament might deter you from your unceasing desire to torture and kill Palestinians, as your comments here:

"And you gotta love the Hamas guy in WaPo yesterday, bleating about how the Palestinians were "slowly disappearing" due to Israeli crimes. Guess that dude hasn't visited their maternity wards lately."...

...would seem to reinforce.

"I guess it's true what they say about marijuana making you paranoid..."

Really, Harris? I wouldn't know.

Maybe you should avoid it, then, before the big bad "Islamofascist" comes for your stash...

"So Hash is saying that closing the blinds will keep bullets, rockets, bombs and other incendiary devices from coming in the window? Those must be some friggin' tough blinds. Could he try any harder to rationalize this obvious publicity ploy?"

Ent, the funniest thing about weaponry is that it generally only works if you can actually visualize your target.

Let me guess. You're a twoop as well...

"LOL ent! "Kevlar venetians". HEe-hee-he-HEE!"

Congrats, bimbo! That one actually made me smile..

BTW, how many years ago was the Sbarro incident?

"...since Isreal quit turning the other cheek..."

Are they?

The Jews talk out of both sides of their mouth.

One day, it's the "Iranian terror threat" (which we all know to be utterly false, the next day it's the Pally menace in the neighborhood, which is hardly believable, apart from rockets on Sderot, a town the Israeli government deliberately refuses to evacuate, offering up their own people as human shields to perpetuate an excuse for the blockade.

Yet, at this point, they are only abusing the people they purport to protect, realizing with full cowardice they can scarcely fight back.

Without US financial aid, to which a significant amount of your tax dollar goes to, military equipment and armaments, which, frankly, your own "twoops" could probably utilize, and pressure from the GOP and the AIPAC lobby to keep the lid on preemptive strikes and implement a two-state solution, you seriously think Israel wouldn't be far more aggressive in the region?

Israel can't have it both ways and neither can the US but these policies are bankrupting THIS nation in the interim.

God in Heaven! Hash has compleatly lost it! There is so much to cove, but I'll answer only a few of his insane delusions.

"Israeli aggression against the sovereign nations of Lebanon, Syria, etc. only served to kill thousands of innocent Lebanese civilians and render countless others homeless...driving the refugees directly into the arms of a strengthened Hezbollah."

First: THEY attacked Isreal.
Second: Isreal targeted MILITARY targets, it was their ENEMIES who DELIBRATLY attacked civilians.
Thrid: Hesbolla was created by IRAN to infiltrate Lebanon.

"Check your copy of the Geneva Conventions (unless, of course, you believe your "twoops" are the only ones on Earth to actually be covered under it).

Do you believe that your "heros" the Pallis are EXEMPT from the rules of war and can commit any ATROSITY they feel like commiting?

"b)instead purchase "50" flat panel TVs, stereos, booze, and other "life essentials", so that this merchandise could then be sold, traded, bartered, etc. for...REAL LIFE ESSENTIALS, like FOOD, MEDICINE, WATER PURIFICATION EQUIPMENT, CANDLES, etc."

So they can BUY luxuries, but must TRADE for essentials? Are you saying they are STUPID? Yes you are!

"Ent, the funniest thing about weaponry is that it generally only works if you can actually visualize your target."

I'm sure that the EEEEVIL Isrealis can SEE THE BUILDING. Anyway, GOVERNMENT buildings are legitamat targets in wartime. Oh, but you believe that the Isrealis ONLY TARGET CIVILIANS, don't you.
Or are you criticizing the Pallis for using UNGUIDED ROCKETS TO BOMB CIVILIANS? No, of course you're not.

Sombody can pick up the rest of hashie's post, I'm tired of his stupidity.

Posted by: KHarn at January 27, 2008 6:36 PM

The reason so many civilians were killed when Israel attacked Hezbollah in Lebanon was because the terrorists were hiding among their supporters.
Those who support terrorists share the guilt of the terrorists.

Posted by: steve at January 27, 2008 6:59 PM

The only problem I have with Israel's actions in Lebanon is that they didn't finish wiping out Hezbollah-because of racist assholes like hash.

"The apartheid wall actually brought famine, hardship, and real, live danger to Palestinian Christians as well, whom I assume you also wish to be slaughtered."

Assuming makes an ass of you and amuses me. I don't wish anyone to be slaughtered except terrorists and their supporters.
In war, civilians always bear the brunt of it. Israel's leaders' duty is to their people, and no others. They have a duty to stop the slaughter of their people by murderers sworn to genocide.

Posted by: steve at January 27, 2008 7:14 PM

"Israel's leaders' duty is to their people, and no others."

Yes, but that begs the question, Steve, who do you think America's leaders' duty is to?

And, if so, why do you suppose they consistently have placed Israel's interests ahead of America's interests first?

"In war, civilians always bear the brunt of it."

Ah, but in Lebanon, the civilians bore almost all of the brunt of it. Very few of the supposed Hezbollah "terrorists" were actually killed, and even the most hawkish Israelis point to the Lebanese campaign as an abject strategic failure.

Did you know that Olmert's approval rating is even lower then Bunny Pants's??

The lack of any meaningful subsequent actions by a totally intact Hezbollah simply served to prove to the world (except the neocon echo chamber, of course) that there had been no imminent threat to Israel by Hezbollah in the first place.

On the other hand, the Lebanese civilian population (including many Christians, which I guess do not count here) who had rejected Hezbollah in the past were forced to turn to them for food, essentials, and other support services.

"They have a duty to stop the slaughter of their people by murderers sworn to genocide."

Except, like you, they never seem to line up such honorable words with commensurate actions, and collective punishment of innocent civilians continues, while the rogues run free, so that would seem to make you all losers on all counts, no?

Another juicy rationalization from Hash. First he says that Gaza is utterly devoid of life essentials, then he says that the looters are securing big-screen TVs to trade for life essentials on their return. No contradiction there!

If the basic human essentials are available in Gaza (i.e., if Hash lied), then why wouldn't they just buy them in Gaza?

"If the basic human essentials are available in Gaza (i.e., if Hash lied), then why wouldn't they just buy them in Gaza?"

Because the prices are too high because of the shortages brought on by the blockade.

A barter system has sprung up and, if you have something to trade, or can fence the items purchased (somewhat more) affordably elsewhere, one can then afford to purchase the essentials that are only available on a limited basis.

Posted by: hashfanatic at January 27, 2008 8:04 PM

"...then he says that the looters are securing big-screen TVs to trade for life essentials on their return."

What makes you think they are LOOTERS?

That may be your racist assumption, but it bears no semblance to the facts.

Posted by: Jimbo at January 27, 2008 8:49 PM

What makes you think they are LOOTERS? That may be your racist assumption, but it bears no semblance to the facts.

No, Palestinians would never, ever loot. They're such sweet, law-abiding folk. That's why I can type "gaza egypt looting" into Google and get 38,000 hits with endless examples.

According to what I've read, somewhere between tens of thousands and hundreds of thousands of Palestinians flooded into Egypt. I'm sure that it was a perfectly orderly situation, with the Palestinians patiently waiting in line to purchase their wide-screen TVs from the smiling shopkeepers.

Because the prices are too high because of the shortages brought on by the blockade.

If the life essentials are so much cheaper in Egypt, then why wouldn't they buy them there? It has to be cheaper than buying a wide-screen TV and bartering it for sky-high-priced life essentials back at home. In fact, why wouldn't they stock up on these dirt cheap life essentials and take them back home to sell for a profit?

Rationalize amongst yourselves.

Posted by: ent at January 27, 2008 9:58 PM

Because, once again, those specific items obviously were not available to the stragglers after the stores sold them to the first wave, so they got whatever they could, since NOTHING useful or affordable can be had in Gaza, and something is better than nothing to desperate people.

Is all of this really so difficult to imagine?

Posted by: hashfanatic at January 27, 2008 10:36 PM

Yet, strangely, daily neccessities like explosive rockets are plentiful and affordable enough that Hamas can still keep firing dozens every day throughout the 'siege'.

Posted by: BUUUUURRRRNING HOT at January 28, 2008 2:22 AM

Why dont their fellow Ay-rabs just send them what they need? Is it they want the Palestinians to remain impoverished in order to encourage them to attack Israel? If there were no rocket attacks, the power wouldnt have been cut off. Idiots like the Hash (probably stoned most of the time) conveniently ignore this. Why doesnt Hash just move to the Palestinian areas and join the fight against the evil Jews? Because he's just some communist chicken shit.

Posted by: Anonymous at January 28, 2008 6:02 AM

The Saudis and the other Arab countries *want* the Palestinians impoverished and fighting. It distracts their own populations from rising up and overthrowing their corrupt regimes. Israeli Arabs have more political rights than Arabs in any other country in the region.

But, of course, you'll never see the lefties protest against Arab oppression of Arabs. Lefties only demonstrate against countries that respect human rights and permit them the right to protest.

Posted by: V the K at January 28, 2008 6:08 AM

And we never saw them protesting the building of the Egyptian border fence, but they went ballistic when the Israeli's constructed their fence for obvious defensive purposes. The same tortured logic makes them protest our building a border fence here.

Posted by: Anonymous at January 28, 2008 8:49 AM

Why is it okay that they shoot hundreds of rockets into Israel from Gaza to indiscriminately kill as many Israelis as they can, but not okay if Israel does anything about it?
