Male Cheerleading Is Now a Human Right

Bobby Thorn wanted to be on the 6th-grade cheerleading team. Being a boy, he didn't make the cut.

"I was devastated," Bobby pouted.

Being a moonbat, his mother promptly took the case to the Kentucky Commission on Human Rights.

A settlement was reached, whereby the principals, teachers and coaches at the school will be subjected to mandatory brainwashing. The school has to submit an annual report to the Commission, detailing its sins against our official state religion, political correctness. Oh, and Bobby's mom got $3,000, courtesy of taxpayers.

"It felt great," Bobby chirped.

No doubt young Bobby has a very lucrative career ahead of him as an aggrieved victim of heteronormative nonpolymorphous gender entity stereotypes.

On a tip from V the K.

Actually, there are male cheerleaders. They're usually the ones holding the girls up etc. Unless they mean he has pom poms or something, I would assume he would be no different than a regular male high school or college cheerleader. At least when I was in college, it was the male cheerleaders that were dating (read: screwing) the female cheerleaders. YMMV

I think you may have missed the point, BRL. I don't think the objection is the the kid wanting to be a cheerleader. The question is, what business is it of a Human Rights Commission to tell the school they have to let him be a cheerleader?

The only reason male cheerleaders are around is for holding girls up as girls dont have the upper body strength (sexist? The average hot looking skinny female cheerleader cant lift a sack of potatoes let alone 100 lb+ girl).

Im waiting for the lawsuits where fat and/or ugly girls sue to get on the cheerleading squad claiming discrimination against the fat or ugly.

When I was in HS back in the early 80s there were a few fugly chicks on the cheerleading squad - they were usually the kind you would find passed out drunk and naked on an upstairs bed with guys coming out pulling up their zippers. I once heard a story where this one girl was passed out on a bed a dozen football players were sticking their fingers into her kitty just to see her reaction. She was later taken to the hospital to get her stomach pumped. Ah Highschool, it was like Fast Times at Ridgement High or Valley Girl. Dude!!!!! Those were the days.

Bobby is learning that whining pays. A good Democrat in the making!

I am skeptical about the claim that male cheerleaders are sleeping with the girls. That assertment does not harmonize with what my own eyes have seen. Anyway, I wonder if this has anything to do with the number of effeminate male students I share the classroom with at my own school. There just sure seem to be a lot of pansies these days.

As a cheer dad I've seen many cheer squads over the years my daughter has competed. In Wisconsin, coed squads are not common. But in my opinion: if you are going to be a guy on a cheerleading squad then cheer like a guy (which mostly means lifting). I've seen some cheer boys...well it wasn't pretty. My daughter is in high school but has had the opportunity to work out with college men cheerleaders (yes, that made me nervous...lots of touching, you know). She thought that was great because she could fly higher (me...nervous) but, more importantly, guys will never drop her. It's sort of a matter of pride. College men cheerleaders will sacrifice themselves in order that the girl doesn't hit the ground. Girls have been know to purposely drop another girl who they thought was sealing a boyfreind..etc.

correction: last line sealing=stealing

Wasn't George W. Bush a cheerleader at Andover?

Actually, a bigger problem is the sport of wrestling. I teach in a private school which does not allow girls on the wrestling team. A public school can't deny girls to the sport. Since we compete with public schools in wrestling a guy-girl bout does sometimes happen. We would ordinarily forfit in those situations (and still do on the freshman and JV teams)but then opposing coaches started to put girls into the varsity lineup to get a forfit. So we had to change our policy on the Varsity level. I will have to say this. Wrestlers usually know who they are going to wrestle before hand. If word gets out about a guy-girl bout the crowd size doubles...don't know why.

Nuff said.

True. Way too easy in this day and age to sue. We wont ever recover from our national funk until the Trial Lawyers get a shot in the testicles that emasculates them. I also think we should pass a Constitutional amendment barring them from seeking higher office.

I think the school was being stupid, but then again, I think high schools should be forced to abolish any government monetary allowances to sports programs. Kids are there to learn, not play sports. Those programs should only be supported by alumni and donations.

I'm also not sure Physical Education should even be 'taught'. Again, kids are there to learn. That can be accomplished after school, not during. But thats just me.

I agree with you and I think that, even though it will upset the social tureen a bit, we need to look at this.

Will he demand the right to wear a tutu or shower with the girls next?

Save the cheerleader! Get football quarterbacks to knock into him full speed, see if he can twist his head back straight like on TV.

Come on now. The kids are way overweight and need PE to get out their aggresiveness and burn some of that teenage adrenaline. Can't you remeber playing "flag" football and beating the hell out of each other. Now that's a manly good time. No manassfanatic I didn't say fag football.
