Josh Brolin to Play W: Wicked Stepmother Babs Enraged
Someone seems to think that the planned Oliver Stone bio of W won't be the hatchet job you might expect. Militant moonbat Barbra Streisand is reportedly enraged that her stepson Josh Brolin is slated to play the lead role. Digital Spy quotes an anonymous source:
Barbra thinks this movie will show a side to George W. Bush that draws sympathy from the public and she does not think Bush deserves anything positive.
Josh's father and Streisand's husband, James Brolin, is a leftist kook who has publicly ridiculed 9/11 commemorations. He played Ronald Reagan in a made-for-TV movie that CBS refrained from running due to public outrage at the idea of moonbats disrespecting the memory of Ronaldus Maximus. I don't recall Babs getting bent out of shape about him taking the role.
Could it be that Stone will give W a fair shake? Or has her severe case of Bush Derangement Syndrome pushed Babs over the edge?
On tips from Charles and Wiggins.

I think it's the severe case of Bush Derangement Syndrome. To point out the obvious, you can tell when someone has this ailment by their looks. They look like nine miles of bad road. Even Hillary, with all her phony smiles, sometimes lets the true image slip by. ... shudder.

Put Babs and Jane Fonda in a pit with fire ants. Cuff them together and hand them one hatchet.
That about sums it up.

Helsing's ability to find the most 'flattering' pictures of the Moonbats in question is nothing short of amazing. It's a mutant power even.

I don't get the Bush hatred. I mean, I get it on the level that most of it comes from people who are emotionally unstable, psychologically damaged, and/or chemically dependent, but BDS does not stand up to reasoned analysis.
Domestically, Bush has pushed a far more left-wing social agenda than Bill Clinton ever dared to: A massive expansion of the Medicaid entitlement, a massive expansion of the Federal role in public education, amnesty for illegal immigrants, campaign finance reform. If a Democrat had enacted all of those policies, the Left would demand his face on Mt. Rushmore. Bush has even drunk deep of the Global Warming Kool-Aid.
With regard to the War on Islamo-Fascism, the Bush administration has fought a war against religious fundamentalism and in defense of liberal values like the emancipation of women and the right of gay people not to be beaten to death for being gay. One would think the left would be against oppressing women and murdering gays, but apparently it's okay when brown people do it.
And even though the left goes into fits of deranged paranoid ranting about a "police state" and "loss of civil liberties" because Bush wants to listen in on phone calls made to known terrorists, the same left wants far more intrusive measures and far higher levels of state control over individual lives when those are advocated to fight the phantom menace of ManBearPig.
Maybe I just see these things clearly because I've never liked Bush. I only voted for him because the alternatives in 2000 and 2004 were much, much worse. This time around, it looks like the alternative won't be that much worse.

V the K,
Never try to apply logic to illogical people. That in itself is illogical.

I doubt that Babs has anything to worry about - the chances of Oliver Stone doing a flattering, or even truthful, portrait of GWB are slim to none.
BTW, Josh Brolin was terrific in NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN, which was a fantastic film.

Sorry, every time I think of Josh Brolin, I think of his role as the big brother in "Goonies" and his role as the young "Wild Bill Hickock" in the short-lived TV show "The Young Riders." Ergo, I have a hard time taking him seriously in anything.
I do agree with Byron that we probably don't have to worry about Oliver Stone doing a flattering or truthful portrait of GWB. Expect a great deal of emphasis to be put on his drinking days.

Maybe people don't like George Bush because he is an arrogant, bumbling idiot who has never been successful at ANY enterprise he has engaged in.
You take Daddy's surname away, along with his money and Saudi connections, and you've got an unsuccesful used car salseman at best.
The fact that V the K dosen't "get it", really doesn't come as much suprise. He dosent' get much, being a coward and a weasel and all.

And yet, HF's little brother remains obsessed with me.
It's also funny that someone who name-calls from behind an 'anonymous' post calls anyone else a coward.

No Hashfans today??? The welfare checks must have came

Its not surprising that Babs is upset about something so dumb, back when Jimmy Carter was running for president back in 1976 she said she couldn't endorse or contribute to his campaign because he was "too conservative".

You're right, JamesJ. With the 3rd of the month being this Sunday, hash and his friends received their government checks (suckling at the teat, as it were) early, hence the distraction of scoring some good hashish (or weed'll do), getting ripped, consuming mass quantities and then dozing off. No doubt they'll be back soon, once the high has worn away and their brains begin to function normally again at about 1/16 speed. Til then, I'm enjoying the quiet!

it's so sad when old AND ugly catches up with a person...
SHUT UP AND SING, BARBRA!
and put a bag over your head while you're at it.

Ugh. Just more BDS from that disgusting hag.
"Sorry, every time I think of Josh Brolin, I think of his role as the big brother in "Goonies" and his role as the young "Wild Bill Hickock" in the short-lived TV show "The Young Riders."
He was good in "Goonies". Also, he was pretty much one of the only bright spots in the otherwise ultra- moonbatty miniseries "Into the West," in which he played Jedediah Smith.
Speaking of Babs and her being Brolin's "Wicked stepmother," anyone see the movie "Enchanted"? In it, her fellow ultra- lib moonbat actress Susan Sarandon played the evil Queen Narissa. She was quite effective playing such a nasty villain, but I kept thinking that Babs could have also handled the role very well. She certainly has a lot of experience being vicious and evil. Then again, if it were Babs in the role, with her physical appearance rivaling that of Medusa, she'd probably give little kids in the audience nightmares!

I think it's just a well planned disinformation campaign.

I'm too lazy or mostly underconcerned to look at stats on Babs, but, how many times has she retired, and come back for her last show ever.
The media (when they choose to call it accurately) often refers to her phobia of being photographed.
Well - the picture at the top is worth the broken lens that the photog wasted on the shot.
Looks like even Babs knows she looks like the inner hag she is, on the outside.
For you fans of her, not to worry, she will have at least one or more 'last shows' during this election cycle. She'll even get the Bush impresionist out for a couple of good laughs....
