Hugo Chavez Admits to Chewing Coca Daily

This may help explain the deranged ideology and obnoxious behavior that have made Hugo Chavez such a darling of the Left:

Venezuela's controversial President Hugo Chávez has revealed that he regularly consumes coca — the source of cocaine — raising questions about the legality of his actions.

Like Popeye after a can of spinach, Chavez actually demonstrated his biceps as he publicly boasted:

I chew coca every day in the morning… and look how I am. […Fellow socialist strongman Evo Morales of Bolivia] sends me coca paste … I recommend it to you.

Coca paste is a semi-refined product halfway between coca leaves and cocaine. It is highly addictive, and not recommended for heads of state or anyone else with a regular job. For good reason, it is illegal in both Bolivia and Venezuela.

Your mind on coca paste.

Maybe this is why Hollyweird Moonbats keep visiting Comrade Chavez and why they usually looked stoned in photos with him. Everyone knows most people in Hollyweird are drug addicts. Rehab clinics in LA have installed revolving doors for these kooks. The gay cowboy wont end up in rehab - hes dead. I know he wasnt really gay, but he was a pill popper.

If our president can deal it in New Haven, and since one of our presidential candidates can freely admit doing it as a teenager, why are you holding Hugo to a higher standard?

Unbelievable, for an American to criticize Venezuela for its drug problems!

Posted by: hashfanatic at January 24, 2008 9:21 AM

Got proof asshat? Or are you talking about Clinton? After all, brother Roger is caught on film buying cocaine saying its for Bill "he has a nose like a vacuum cleaner."

Posted by: JamesB at January 24, 2008 9:30 AM

Theres a difference between using drugs as a teenager and doing while being the leader of a nation.

The pro drug crazies defending Chavez are no surprise. They are so stoned most of the time they end on the streets bumming change off productive members of society. Hashie is probably on welfare or growing weed in his basement continuously on the lookout for DEA agents.

This explains much about Chavez's leadership style.

Long-term effects of cocaine Addiction:
-Irritability
-Mood disturbances
-Restlessness
-Paranoia
-Auditory hallucinations

Posted by: dmoss at January 24, 2008 11:10 AM

My what a perty mouth he has. I wonder if his mouth got that way after servicing the President of Iran?

Posted by: Anonymous at January 24, 2008 12:00 PM

"This explains much about Chavez's leadership style.

Long-term effects of cocaine Addiction:

-Restlessness
-Paranoia
-Auditory hallucinations..."

It also would explain a lot about Bush's.

He does, after all, freely admit to "hearing the voices..."

I'm still not seeing anyone explain why another sovereign nation's leader should be held to a higher standard than this one's , uh, elected leader!

Guess it all depends on who you need to demonize this week, no?

Going to have to re-iterate JamesB said hashfanatic. Prove it, or shut up

Correction:

Wait a minute. You haven't heard that George W. Bush dealt coke in New Haven, or you are refusing to BELIEVE Bush dealt coke in New Haven?

Because that was more than an unsubstantiated rumor, even at the time of the first (s)election!

You can't do a search, and find this yourselves?

Incidentally, I wouldn't put it past ANY of the present candidates to have had drug issues, yes, even the Clintons, probably, PARTICULARLY the Clintons.

That makes all of the innuendo against Chavez even worse (and also shows an appalling lack of knowledge of South American customs and culture).

This will faze no one down there.

Why not clean OUR OWN drug problems up FIRST (rather than foisting responsibilities for our mess on a subculture we created and financed IN THE FIRST PLACE?)

Arrogance, neocon arrogance.

Posted by: hashfanatic at January 24, 2008 1:53 PM

Another urban legend from the fever swamps of the community-based reality. "We all want to believe George W. Bush dealt cocaine. Therefore, it is true."

It's relevance to the topic of Hugo Chavez's admitted drug use is not clear, however.

We also see the leftist urge to blame America for the problems of other countries. I don't use drugs, and those who do reject traditional values. So, to the extent that Latin American culture is corrupted by the narcotics trade, it's clear the left-wing counter-culture bears the bulk of the responsibility.

Posted by: V the K at January 24, 2008 2:31 PM

Typical liberal response:

You can't expect a person's closet to be clean as long someone else's is dirty.

Liberalism = apathy.

Posted by: Jimbo at January 24, 2008 2:32 PM

They said PROOVE IT hash.
I know that proof is a strange concept to Liberals and commies, because you idiots think that an accusation is all that is needed for a conviction.

PS: "global warning" causes hurricanes! except when it prevents them! (What else have they LIED TO YOU about, hash?)

Posted by: KHarn at January 24, 2008 2:44 PM

Here's just one link, you lazy bastards, to information regarding many allegations against Mr. Bush, some of which are dispelled, some of which are substantiated. You can find the rest of the links about dealing in New Haven on your own..

Bush doesn't really even deny doing cocaine and smoking weed.

http://www.realchange.org/bushjr.htm

And Kharn, you STILL don't know how to spell "prove"? My God, after trying to teach you on previous post that no one is going to waste time trying to prove something to a guy who can't even spell the word.

Posted by: hashfanaticFAN at January 24, 2008 2:52 PM

KHarn, I didn't just pick my facts off the ground (like you have, with your revisionist history!)

You really can't do your own homework?

You really think Bush as a cokehead is some sort of an original concept? Or were you so terrified of Kerry to even CARE?

What children you all are.

Posted by: hashfanatic at January 24, 2008 2:54 PM

"...you lazy bastards"

You certainly aren't out to make friends are you, you worthless moron.

Your really brave when faceless and anonymous, fool.

Posted by: Jimbo at January 24, 2008 3:02 PM

I think it should be put this way: if you can supply documentary evidence of Bush huffing crack whilst in the whitehouse then you might have something to compare like with like, as it were. Otherwise? No dice.

Incidentally I hear that coca leaf tea makes a refreshing cure for mountain sickness. Many things in life start out as good in moderation... something a great many people, lacking self control, fail to understand.

Posted by: Archonix at January 24, 2008 3:09 PM

now look who's talking tough...

and no, I don't come here looking for "friends". I come here for a chukle at your brutish, caveman grunts.

Posted by: hashfanaticFAN at January 24, 2008 3:09 PM

"...if you can supply documentary evidence of Bush huffing crack whilst in the whitehouse then you might have something to compare like with like, as it were. Otherwise? No dice."

Uh, Archonix?

I think the shrub's elite family bonafides sort of disqualified him from being a "crack" user to begin with (particularly since crack hadn't been INVENTED yet...)

"Many things in life start out as good in moderation... something a great many people, lacking self control, fail to understand."

Agreed.

Unfortunately, moderation and self-control are not virtues Americans seem capable of understanding.

Posted by: hashfanatic at January 24, 2008 3:15 PM

Most of the people in my church do a really good job at moderation and self-control. Compare and contrast with, oh, for example, the Hollywood left, the Kennedies, or the participants at the Folsom Street Fair.

Posted by: V the K at January 24, 2008 6:44 PM

Hash,
It's easy to see you hate America and Americans. Could your real name be muhammed? Don't worry my experimental veggies are almost done and I'll be happy to send you a double order. Maybe you and your "fan" can get straightened out.Just a minute I have to take this call. " What's that Mr. President? Ok I'll make up some troll exterminating veggies too. Yes sir they'll be ready by November."

Posted by: Farmer Ted at January 24, 2008 6:57 PM

You offer nothing but hate and accusations hash, facts are an alien concept to you. Whenever I ask for PROOF, you complain about my spelling.

Sorry ass tactics. Admit that you have NOTHING to back up your claims.

Posted by: KHarn at January 24, 2008 7:25 PM

KHarn, Google is full of proof, and I trust, if you know how to comment on this blog, you're capable of spelling the word "cocaine" and the president's name.

You're trying to pull a very crafty, disingenous little game with this, and I'm not falling for your wiles, nor am I inclined to serve as your research assistant.

And don't worry about who I hate or who I don't.
That's way out of your realm to judge at any rate.

Educate YOURSELF!

Posted by: hashfanatic at January 24, 2008 7:47 PM

That realchange website one of the hashes (if they are even really different people) provided is about as sensible as the rest of the 'Bush-9/11' Troofer types out there.

Wikipedia has not even have a side note on Bush's purported drug abuse - not even ALLEGATIONS of it. To compare, it has entries on Bush's mangled words and criticisms of his policies such as wiretapping.

Even if it were true, in America you can't give an address to the nation that begins "People of America, I as President of the United States still do drugs every day!"

As others have said, that is the key difference between youthful hippieness of various American personalities and currently-serving druggie politician Chavez.

Posted by: BUUUUURRRRNING HOT at January 24, 2008 9:31 PM

What's a "Troofer", I am afraid to ask?

Posted by: hashfanatic at January 24, 2008 10:13 PM

Looks like Cavez is just putting out the ‘spin’ early so no one will be surprised when he nationalizes the internationally illegal drug trade coming out of his country.

He/Venezuela is merely the transportation point (taking the middle man profits) for Bolivia. And he can keep the DEA out. The DEA has been pretty effective in Columbia, much to the detriment of Hollywierd liberals' pocketbooks.

He will decree it to be a legitimate export item for revenue, and ArmadigitMonkey from Iran will second the motion (you think it's just Afghanistan that benefits from the poppies fields?) Everyone in Hollywierd and the Netherlands will rejoice at his brilliance (and forget that they despise a free market approach to anything, but their illegal drug trade).

Of course the UN will back him on this to get their cut. The EU will openly accept their ability to collect yet another tax on a commodity. The US Moonbats will follow suit to work this into a carbon offset program.

..... If we are lucky, MS13 will be pissed by his disruption of the profit margin and off him.

MS13, doing the illegal things, that illegal immigrant criminals do, that criminal US criminals won’t......or just can’t get away with because we actually know who they are.

Posted by: Oiao at January 24, 2008 10:51 PM

Troofer = Twoofer = Truther = 9/11 Conspiracy Theory supporter who believes Bush, Halliburton, neocons or perhaps the Jews planned 9/11 as a vast conspiracy to take over the world economy, beginning with Iraq's oil.

Such theories actually make excellent sense, they are almost as scientifically sound as anthropogenic global warming theory.

Hey burning,

Wikipedia is by no means a thorough or dependable source. You see idiots like yourself can go there and edit content. Relying on Wikipedia as primary source for your irrational opinion only serves to demonstrate how completely unrelaible a commentator YOU are.

Kharn, are you older than 9? If so you really should be ashamed of yourself. Are you and Farmer Ted a product of the American school system? No wonder the country is going to the pigs.

Posted by: hashfanaticFAN at January 25, 2008 3:32 AM

Nothing but insults and accusations. You have proven my point, HASH.

Well, it's ostensibly better than a site that is openly rabidly anti-Bush. Should I recommend some sites run by KKK next time we're discussing Obama?

It's the standard (noob) argument that Wikipedia is not reliable. Wikipedia itself may be open to free editing, but its claims are often linked to actual news and information sites.

And btw, most of the biased idiots editing content on Wiki are liberals, smearing conservatives...

http://michellemalkin.com/2007/08/15/an-army-of-wiki-watchers/

A conservative blog, btw, but one that provides the neutral-objective links as evidence.

Posted by: BUUUUURRRRNING HOT at January 25, 2008 5:50 PM

I think there is actually a "Conservapedia" now, for conservatives!

I do use Wikipedia as a resource for general information.

I guess, if you look hard enough, you'll find the source that will tell you what you want to believe, no?

The liberal sites are usually just as bad as the conservative ones, in terms of bias.

Posted by: hashfanatic at January 25, 2008 6:31 PM

Hashboyfan,
Damn that's a lame insult. Surely something of your superior intellect could produce a better insult than that. Oh by the why don't you answer instead of insult. You must be a product of your mommy's basement.

Posted by: Farmer Ted at January 25, 2008 7:01 PM

It wasn't meant as a rap, Ted.

I'm just pointing out people tend to see what they want to see.

Such vicious little neonuts we have out in the fields!

Too much information, Raisin.
