Ezra Levant Tries to Separate Mosque From State in Canada
Kudos to Ezra Levant of the Western Standard for putting up a fight against the Canadian government, which has been taking him to task on behalf of radical Islam for publishing the tepid Danish cartoons that Muslims seized on as a pretext to intimidate cowardly dhimmis.
Here he is laying out the case for freedom to Alberta bureauweenie Shirlene McGovern:

Calling McGovern a "bureauweenie" is giving far too much credit. She is no bureaucrat; at most, a clerk who hung around long enough to get a promotion or two. And now, she is making judgments and ruling on matters of great import to the future of western civilization and our freedoms. Such is the legacy of the "human rights" movement and its surreal inability to reflect on the unintended consequences of its self-righteous campaign to multiculturalize the planet.

The call follows a landmark legal defeat for the Government last month in which the European Court of Human Rights ruled that it was unlawful to stop jailed murderer Kirk Dickson [serving 15 years for kicking a man to death in a row over a packet of cigarettes ] donating sperm for his wife to use in IVF treatment as it breached their right to marry and raise a family.
So what about his victims right to "Marry, and raise a family"?

Canada: Freedom of Speech succumbing to Kangaroo Courts of the Human Rights Commission
Proceedings against Ezra Levant are nothing short of ridiculous, but let's consider the implications for moderate Muslims. This "investigation" will further divide Muslims and non-Muslims in Canada. It will give credence to radicals' claims that the West is at war with Islam. It will antagonize non-Muslims and moderate Muslims will be pushed towards radicalization. Regardless of the outcome, once again Islamists skillfully manipulated Dhimmi justice system and came out as clear winners. Thank you, Human Right Commission!
