Dems' Nutroots Base Demands We Forget 9/11
The one thing we know for sure about the Democrat primaries is that they will be won by someone who doesn't even begin to grasp the seriousness of the Islamic terror threat. "Surrender in Iraq, problem solved" is not a strategy for dealing with an implacable and extremely threatening long-term enemy. Don't these people remember 9/11?
To judge from Democratic Underground, the answer is: just barely, and they resent those whose memories are less murky. A moonbat calling himself "Philosoraptor" recently favored the fever swamps with a composition entitled "Hey America- 9-11 is over--git yer shit together already, JESUS!" Extracts follow (please excuse the vocabulary; vile people rely on vile language):
What the fuck are you smoking America? Jesus, wake up already will ya? Snap the fuck out of your nine eleven induced stupor and focus will ya for Christ's sake? […] Look at our nation. We are an embarrassment, from our president down. We should all be ashamed of ourselves, but we're too proud for that. Did nine eleven do all this? Is THAT what turned us all into zombies and robots? […]
The world is looking at our nation with increasing alarm, wondering what the fuck our problem is, and wondering why we don't 'do something' about it. If you look at America as if it were a single person, that person is in serious need of medical attention, physical and mental, that person is suffering a severe type of psychosis induced by trauma and stress and addiction. Uncle Sam is on a crash course for a full blown nervous breakdown. […] For Christ's sake America, pick yourselves up, brush yourselves off, and start the fuck all over again will ya? And SOON.

The over-reaction to 9/11 has been mind-boggling.

As Chomsky points out, realistically, what occurred on 9/11 is quite a minor example of the broad ravaging and mass murder that the American govt and its proxy allies have been carrying out against large sectors of the planet for a very long time.
…and on and on and on… The insane never tire of their own manic gibbering.
Imagine being happy with anyone these people would vote for.

I dunno...I travel overseas 6-7 times per year (or 40+ times since Bush entered the Whitehouse) and never sensed others are looking at the US and thinking what the F.
Sounds good to those who want to believe it though and that is all that matters.

Dear Philosoraptor, projecting just a bit? If the United States was such a poor country, how come we have all these imigrants - legal and illegal? Of all the first world nations, only the US has a positive birthrate. Simply put, people in the rest of the world yearn to be free and live the good life. Since you do not appreciate what you have, even living in the basement while working at Frye; please move to Russia or Mexico or Syria to let someone from Bangladesh enjoy the basement.

Brilliant deduction based on current events, Philosomoron! That's why France and Germany have recently displaced Socialists with leaders friendly to America -- they were just so "disgusted" with America's behavior, they decided to cut off their noses to spite their own faces by putting conservative-leaning people into office.
Looks like France and Germany may have "seen the light," as it were, although from all the stories out there (incl. on Moonbattery), the Brits are headed straight for Hell.

Philosoraptor my have named himself better than he knows. In Greek Philos denotes a love of something, as in philosophy, the love of wisdom or Philadelphia, brotherly love. Dinosaur aficianados recognize raptor as meaning a theif, such as Velociraptor, the swift theif.

Unbelievable, that this nation of weaklings can't get over something they brought on themselves, after close to a decade.
Maybe do something constructive with your righteous indignation, like helping a first responder live his remaining (numbered) days in peace, or contribute to a family of one who's already been allowed to die in pain and suffering, in this so-called "great" nation that worships the fetus and drops the baby on its head...
Again, this guy is absolutely right.

I love how ignorant this article is. You claim that they don't care about what happened on 9/11, that they want to let those terrorists go free? Of course not, but unfortunantely we cannot go after those terrorists if we squander our superior military power in the middle of a civil that the terrorists are merely using to drive their propaganda and make huge strides in recruitment. I want to kill those bastards that attacked my country and so do the the democratic candidates. So do the republicans, sadly they can't seem to understand that they aren't in Iraq....
