Fisher was an idiot[savant] who said stupid things. He hated America and renounced his citizenship but he had the decency to leave the country and stay mostly out of the public eye.

Bobby Fisher should be remembered as a victim of his own paranoia. His Holocaust denial, celebration of 9/11 and support for the genocidal Yugoslav regime can only be the result of a sickness inspired by the most excessive moonbat belief system.

It's clear that you are not chess players. Words don't matter in the final analysis, only deeds. In taking the World Chess Championship from the Soviet Union, Fischer achieved the impossible; he was completely unique and stayed totally independent throughout his life.
