Previously in an interview with The Associated Press he said that his statement was a reference to New York Democrats asking her to run for the Senate when she showed dignity in the face of the Monica Lewinsky scandal. He called it an "unexceptional statement."

And, indeed, it was. But, the forces of the pc left could not let go of it. The castration squad went into action. Gloria Steinem and the heads of four prominent women's groups complained in a letter to his boss at MSNBC that Matthews had shown a pattern of sexism. And now, Chris is auditioning for the Vienna Boys' Choir. He'll be singing soprano in his upcoming performances.

Chris, the emasculated canary is a bird of no consequence.

I would actually forget all about Matthews, except he's mentioned on this site so often.

It's reached the point the only TV Talkers I ever even consider tuning in (other than Malkin cuz she's so damned good looking) are Glenn Beck and Lou Dobbs. Strange they're both on the Communist News Network.

How about a moment of silence for our Western brethren in non-US countries, who didn't have far-seeing founders and a prescient constitution, and now end up with guys like Matthews sitting on bureaucratic committees deciding who can have a gun.

Increasingly, the most basic, primal right of all - the right to defend one's self and one's family - has become a U.S. right, and yet another reason why the U.S. is, and shall remain, the ONLY country worth living in.

All other rights, including free speech, have meaning only in the context of the 2nd ammendment. If you reprint a cartoon that the savages don't like, you better be prepared to defend your life, and if you're in a pussified European state, you'll probably just not say anything for fear of violence. The term is used a lot lately: The last definition I saw (which, I admit has been a while) basically described it as a "progressive conservative". McCain would fall in that category - You may find McCain supporters on Republican blogs, but I doubt you'll find many McCain supporters on actual conservative blogs.

I think its time we, the true Liberals (as in Classic Western Liberalism as espoused by The Founding Fathers) took back our term. Hashfanatic is NOT a Liberal, but a Socialist (or more accurately a Progressive, from the Marxist plank calling for progressively onerous income taxation). Like the term Anarchism and Anarchist, for too long we have allowed the Leftist douchebags overrunning our country set the tone and steal or corrupt our language.

A .30-30 is excellent for home defense-if you live in the country. It WILL penetrate your neighbor's house, even after letting the air out of a goblin.
I concur with Red about the shotgun but in an urban or suburban environment I would go with smaller shot. 00 is .33 caliber and can penetrate walls. My choice would be #1 buck. It will kill deer out to 50 yards. I don't think goblins would fare any better.

Shotguns, .30-30s, AR-15s?...how about the venerable 1911 .45 ACP pistol. Not many get back up after one hit.
