War on Christmas Continues at K-Mart

It has been decreed that Sears subsidiary K-Mart must refer to Christmas trees as "holiday trees" or just as "trees" in its advertising, lest it be accused of failing to pander to intolerant moonbats. When asked for clarification, a representative of Sears Holding Corporation gibbered:

The reason for our use of holiday tree is due to the [sic] Sears Holding is a very diverse company, we do not want to offend any of our associates, but also our valued customers. We decided to call them holiday trees because even if Christians are the only religion that uses a Christmas tree we still do not want complaints from other customers of different religions complaining about our use of Christmas.

Mathew D. Staver, Founder of Liberty Counsel and Dean of Liberty University School of Law, responds:

It borders on the absurd to remove the word "Christmas" from a "Christmas tree." Sears and K-Mart have offended their customer base by thinking they can profit from Christmas while pretending it does not exist. The best thing for consumers to do this Christmas season is to act as if Sears and K-Mart do not exist and instead patronize their competitors.

Moonbats' hostility toward Christmas is understandable; they hate everything that characterizes our culture, and particularly everything that reminds them of the Christianity around which it evolved. Corporations bending to their will can only be explained as pathological cowardice.

Frightened of moonbats, a Sears Holding Corporation rep renounces Christmas.

Great stuff from Moonbattery. I hope the other side does not get round to setting up a mooncounterbattery!

K-Mart is on its last legs anyway and Sears is now putting a gun to its head. It's amazing how these people just don't learn but that's what makes them Moonbats, I guess.

They hate Christmas, b/c they hate the Church. And they hate the Church b/c the Church does not condone all behavior.

"I hope the other side does not get round to setting up a mooncounterbattery!"

Too late, Dave...they're already out there, and they're hysterical about sites like this. Looks like you've got a great site going as well...

The only people "Liberals" are worried about offending are the ones who might "get" them- i.e., rough them up in the parking lot, declare a "fatwah" on them, etc.. They couldn't care less about Christians, because they know we pose no physical threat.

Just e-mailed Sears telling them I am exercising my right to support stores that recognize and honor Christmas, and that I will purchase the Lathe and Table Saw I am purchasing for Christmas from Home Depot. Also told them they are not needed. Around here we have Target, Wal-Mart, every big box store, etc. No great loss to me, but they probably won't care anyway.

Bah, humbug! Even Ebanezer Scrooge didn't try to STOP people from celebrating Christmas! I think his line was:
"You keep Christmas in your way nephew, and I'll keep it in mine!"

I don't know sounds like a good business plan to me, I mean why not offend the 90% of Christians who do the majority of shopping this time of year to keep the 1% of the raving moonbats from the remaining 10% of the population happy. Good idea to piss off 99% of your customer base so you don't look intolerant (intolerant to anyone but Christians that is). Will I be shopping at Sears or K-Mart this Christmas, not a chance, but I'm not going to limit it to just Christmas, I'll take my business elsewhere the rest of the year as well.

Apparently Sears doesn't require their spokespeople to be able to communicate coherently. I'm not even sure what language that statement is supposed to be in.

Some interesting reading here on The Religion Of Peace-

Muslim Apostates Threatened Over Christianity (Daily Telegraph).

It tells the tale of a british daughter of muslim parents who dared to become a christian, deep in darkest... Dagenham.

"He said he couldn't have me in the house now that I was a Kaffir [an insulting term for a non-Muslim]," Sofia - not her real name - remembers. "He said I was damned for ever. He insulted me horribly. I couldn't recognise that man as the father who had been so kind to me as I was growing up. "My mother's transformation was even worse. She constantly beat me about the head. She screamed at me all the time. I remember saying to them, as they were shouting death threats, 'Mum, Dad - you're saying you should kill me… but I'm your daughter! Don't you realise that?'?"

These are the kind of people who we're trying to appease.

Of course the moonbats don't stop to think that people who do not celebrate Christmas, either in a religious or secular manner, won't bother buying trees or decorations anyway. So what exactly is the issue here?

If they REALLY want to keep from offending the easily offended, they won't sell anything related to any holiday at all. But that would hurt the bottom line, so their hypocrisy continues to shine through...

I know you won't publish this because you would rather have your lies about being persecuted out there, but I will try anyway:

Then why do they have Christmas Trees on both of their websites? Obviously the "war" you are talking about is just some made-up persecution crap.

And I hate to break it to tool guy up there...both Lowes and Home Depot call their stuff "holiday".

So much for doing your own research, instead you would rather be sheep and believe anything.

You evil defenders of Christmas. You will pay for your religious belief.

Dieeeeee!!!!!!!!!
