Moonbats Try to Silence Murdered Cop's Widow
Proving the appeal to moonbats of unadulterated evil, convicted cop killer Mumia Abu-Jamal is worshiped as a demigod in progressive circles.
Since being placed on death row a generation ago for murdering Philadelphia police officer Daniel Faulkner in 1981, Abu-Jamal has given commencement addresses for UC Berkeley, UC Santa Cruz, Antioch College, Occidental College, and Evergreen State College. NPR even had plans to pay him taxpayers' money for commentary on the execrable program "All Things Considered." The murderer has a street named after him in Saint-Denis, France, and is an honorary citizen of Paris.
Abu-Jamal shot Officer Faulkner in the back from about a foot away. No one has seriously contested his guilt. He is not only a cold-blooded cop killer, but a virulently anti-American black Marxist with dreadlocks who took on a Muslim name (he was born Wesley Cook). All of this makes him so sacred to moonbats that they are threatening to storm Rockefeller Center, enraged that Faulkner's widow Maureen is scheduled to appear on the Today Show Thursday.
Maureen Faulkner is promoting her new book, Murdered by Mumia: A Life Sentence of Pain, Loss and Injustice.
The Today Show people have no official comment, but according to an obscene cult calling itself the Free Mumia Abu-Jamal Coalition (NYC), they are negotiating with the moonbats. If true, this would set a new MSM standard for contemptible cowardice.

On a tip from Byron.

Until I read this story about Mumia Abu-Jamal, I thought the following line, taken from Black Adder Goes Forth: Corporal Punishment, was an impossible joke:
I remember [defense attorney] Mattingburg's most famous case, "The Case of the Bloody Knife." A man was found next to a murdered body, he had the knife in his hand, thirteen witnesses that seen him stab the victim, when the police arrived he said, "I'm glad I killed the bastard." Mattingburg not only got him off, but he got him knighted in the New Year's Honors list, and the relatives of the victim had to pay to have the blood washed out of his jacket.
Never underestimate the power of moonbattery.

I've done some research into the case and honestly, I'm not sure if he did it or not.
I had heard there were some pretty fishy things regarding Mumia's trial. The bullet in question had disappeared from evidence lockers, a woman who had testified for the prosecution admitted that the police convinced her to lie under oath and was promptly arrested, and a couple other things. Then again, the source I heard much of that from was quite liberal and a friend of Mumia's, so I'm not sure how much truth is behind it.
So, in other words, I honestly don't know if he did it or not. That's just how I feel

The defence got four witnesses to come forward MORE THAN TEN YEARS after the fact:
One was a whore who admitted that she had been high on drugs that night,
Another was a woman who looked out her window AFTER the back-up cops had arrived,
One man said that he saw TWO men running away, but couldn't say if they had been at the crime scene,
And another man testified to things he couldn't have seen unless he was no more than TEN FEET from the muderer.
Where do I sign up, Jay?
