Moonbat Lawyer Keys Marine's Car

A Chicago lawyer named Jay Grodner thanked Marine Sergeant Mike McNulty for his service to our country by keying his car. But his head is still attached to his shoulders — a testament to Marine discipline.

McNulty's car was readily identifiable as a Marine's by the military plates and various decals. When caught red-handed, Grodner responded by denouncing America's armed forces. His juvenile vandalism caused $2,400 in damage — eight times the amount required to qualify as a felony.

But at least Grodner has a defense. He says he's being framed because he's Jewish.

Appallingly, Illinois authorities leaned on McNulty to drop the matter if Grodner paid the $100 deductible. McNulty was willing to accept probation for Grodner, but the lawyer refused, knowing that the Marine will have a hard time appearing in court after he is shipped back to Iraq in the near future. As he proclaimed:

I'm not going to make it easy on this kid.

Apparently the vandal will get off with no penalty whatsoever — other than having to see Jay Grodner when he looks in the mirror.

Very easy to get away with this when you are a girlie-boy "Liberal" lawyer, with nearly every lawyer and judge in the nation on your girlie-boy-"Liberal" team.

Whats 1,000 lawyers at the bottom of the ocean? A good start... Nutjobs like this clown are the reason why there are so many dead lawyer jokes.

Is there any legal recourse against this scumbag? How much will it cost?

Where do we sign up?

Fortunately, looks like the "Blackfive" website is also on the case, a la Moonbattery. One can hope that someone with cojones in Chicago will take this matter (pro bono, if necessary) and hound this moron to the ends of the Earth both in civil court (doubtless the Marine's own insurance company will take this forward, if they pay to repair his car), and before the Illinois Bar Association's Board of Professional Responsibility (or whatever they call it up in IL) -- these types of complaints are taken very seriously indeed, and can result in public censure, license suspension for a number of years, or even disbarment (sounds good to me!).

Keep this one on the "front burner," Van -- lots of folks would love to see this jerk get his comeuppance, in a big way!

The "I am offended FOR that person" rule can be used AGAINST the jerk! McNulty can ask someone to sue in his place, just like Liberals sue because somewhere, somehow, a single "minority" person MIGHT be offended by something.
Let it be used against them, and we'll see how THEY like it!

Not a very smart lawyer. There may be those that do support the troops that might be willing to 'defend' those that defend us and act on Sgt. McNulty's behalf while he's deployed by educating the good lawyer that he may have not been so clever after all...

Loathing for Lawyers originates with this kind of activity. And the Bar Association wonders why folks hate lawyers?

Oy!

Lawyer commits felony. Has the Illinois bar been alerted to this fellow?

Anybody in the Chicago area know what the scumbag lawyer drives? What goes around comes around!

I'm not advocating that anyone KEY HIS CAR. I'm just saying that a LOT of folks would contribute to HIS defense fund! :)

I'd bet that the Illinois Bar is staffed by people who are all Jay Grodners; I think it's safe to assume that they couldn't care less about this slime committing a felony...after all, it was only a- EEeewwwww- U.S. MARINE'S car...

VH,
There was an update on BlackFive's post about the hearing yesterday. The lawyer was late for court.

Sergeant McNulty or some other citizen may want to consider filing an ethics complaint against this mutt with the Illinois Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission. (www.iardc.org/)

According to the Illinois Rules of Professional Conduct, which all Illinois attorneys are bound, an attorney commits ethical misconduct when he/she "commit[s] a criminal act that reflects adversely on the lawyer’s honesty, trustworthiness or fitness as a lawyer in other respects." (Rule 8.4(3).

It is certainly arguable that vandalizing someone's property because they disagrees with their military service reflects adversely on their fitness to practice law.

I tried to call Mr. Grodner this morning to express my displeasure over his actions.

Unfortunately, his line at the office has been disconnected......hmmmmm....wonder how that happened.
