Maniacs Target Christians
The venomous rhetoric habitually directed at Christians by moonbats puts today's Colorado shootings in an ominous light.
A gunman killed two staff members at the Youth with a Mission missionary training center in Arvada early this morning. Twelve hours later and 80 miles south, another gunman killed someone at the New Life Church megachurch in Colorado Springs before being taken out by an armed security guard.
Several other people were wounded. Reportedly both gunmen were dressed in black.
Colorado-based Slapstick Politics is following the story. Here's the first comment they received on it:
So the shooter killed only two and wounded two others. Too bad he didn't have more time to get some more. Religious missionaries are very legitimate targets since they stick their noses into other people's private religious affairs. America needs more shootings like this in the future to put the religious fanatics and loonies in their place.
The killers' motives aren't known, and may never be. Hopefully no one is following Charles Manson's short path from moonbattery to murder.
The media will of course use this as further evidence that we should be disarmed, rendering us even more vulnerable to homicidal maniacs. But the problem is much older than guns. Evil has been with us from the beginning.

Comments
The one shooter, carrying a hunting rifle, was apparently killed by an armed, female security guard. The first comment from the church administration, as well as law enforcement: "She saved countless lives."
The 2nd Amendment is alive and well, no matter what the Moonbats say and do. Let's keep it that way.

Two shooters simultaneously in two separated locations? This looks distinctly strange.

seems as though America has a slightly higher dose of "evil" than other countries in the West, at least. Our own special American type of sucicide bomber is taking out more lives than the Muslims are. A day does not go by now where some AMERICAN, most likely a CHRISTIAN AMERICAN goes into a church, a mall, a school, etc, and decides to take out as many innocent lives as possible before killing themselves.
But we don't call them "suicide bombers" do we? We don't identify them by faith, do we? In fact, we barely raise an eyebrow.
America has an EPIDEMIC problem with this, but you are all afraid of the Muslims. HAHA....you'd all be much better off if you concentrated your fears on your fellow Americans as they represent a much greater and more immediate threat to you and your loved ones.
And on top of it, you've got some moron above celebrating an antiquated second amendment in the aftermath of these tragedies.
There is something seriously sick and wrong with the society America has become in recent years.

Er, Anonymous, you don't call somebody a suicide bomber unless they, you know, have a bomb. I appreciate that that might be a difficult concept, but you can understand it by asking yourself this question, "does this person have a bomb?" and if the answer is no, then they aren't a bomber. See?
As to Islamists; we identify them as muslim terrorists because they are terrorists who self-identify themselves as fighting for Islam. It is not we who give them this label. It is they themselves.
This is the weird thing about you liberals. Here you are defending Islam, the most illiberal faith in the world, a faith that treats women as cattle, inspires its followers to murder people for glory in heaven, which tells parents to kill their children if they leave the faith or dare to have sex outside marriage and so on. It's a faith that detests the Jews and wants to exterminate them. What kind of a sick asshole defends that, Mr or Ms. Anonymous?

Anonymous must be one of those typical lefties who wants law abiding people disarmed so that criminals have an easier time "redistributing the wealth" by taking it. And, of course, disarmed Christians are easier targets as well.
The Federal government has laws banning firearms from schools. Which lets criminals know they have a disarmed population they can victimize. On the other hand, there has never been a fatal shooting at a gun show or an NRA convention. I don't wonder why that is, but the anonymous coward might.

I pray for your God hating soul.

"Religious missionaries are very legitimate targets since they stick their noses into other people's private religious affairs."
So by extrapolation, I can shoot at ACLU lawyers demanding I say "Happy Holidays" instead of "Merry Christmas"?
And for Anonymous's comment:
"A day does not go by now where some AMERICAN, most likely a CHRISTIAN AMERICAN goes into a church, a mall, a school, etc, and decides to take out as many innocent lives as possible before killing themselves.
But we don't call them "suicide bombers" do we? We don't identify them by faith, do we? In fact, we barely raise an eyebrow."
We do in fact idfentify Christian terrorist by name and faith when they commit acts in the name of their particular flavor of Christianity; Eric Rudolph ring a bell? And it does raise eyebrows. You may have noticed all the media coverage.

"There is something seriously sick and wrong with the society America has become in recent years."
Boy, loonies like "Anonymous" prove that, don't they? What a fool.

"The killers' motives aren't known, and may never be."
Actually, I think I know what caused the shooting at the Youth With a Mission center. The guy came up to the Center in the middle of the night, asking to be allowed to spend the night there. The Center's staff told him that sadly they couldn't help him in that respect. That evidently enraged him, so he entered the Center and started shooting.
Anonymous is too ignorant and bigoted for words.
The mall shooter was not some radical Christian, he was just a nutcase. Plus, the religious affiliations of the two church shooters are unknown, and neither of them committed suicide after their rampages (The one at the Missions Center ran away after shooting a few people, the one at the megachurch was killed by a church security guard). When a radical Christian (Most of whom are "Christian" in their eyes only, as their actual beliefs are quite different from mainstream Christians) engages in an act of violence, the liberal media is all over it, and makes sure everyone knows the guy is a Christian.
btw, that 'Antiquated Second Amendment' saved the lives of several people at the megachurch by enabling the guard to take out the shooter before he hurt any more innocent people.
Get a life, anon.

2nd shooter, if he wasn't the 1st at the end of his drive, was stopped by a woman security guard with a gun.
Yet again... an incident the demonstrates it is a disarmed populace that is defenseless.
Posted by: DANEgerus at December 10, 2007 12:22 PM
Wait... silly me... she wasn't a security guard, she was a hero with a CHL...
No agenda in the NewsMedia covering up that fact is there?
Posted by: DANEgerus at December 10, 2007 2:54 PM
The word is "murderer", not "shooter". "Scumbag" will work as well.
Posted by: KHarn at December 10, 2007 7:20 PM
they will target us until we're no longer around to focus on. then who?
anybody could be next...

hey Ian, wow you really are an astute reader aren't you? The only thing you seem not be able to comprehend is my basic point. How do you see what I wrote as a defense of Islam? Where do I praise Islam or Muslims? Serioulsy, you read only what you want to read. Any critique of American culture is read as support of Islam by you people. Get you r heads out of your asses, you brianwashed sheep.
I don't care if you don't want to call them "bombers". fair enough. Let's call them sucicide shooters. The American brand of cold hearted "kill 'em all on my way out" suicide shooters, do it for "fame" or out of anger...Muslim ones do it for God to becaome a martyr. Martyr/famous...not that big a difference really. At least the Muslim's seem to have some convuluted and disgusting reason for killing innocents. The American killers don't have ANY reason in many cases.
Íf you honestly don't believe America has an epidemic problem with loose cannons (most of whom have been raised in Christian homes) going around shooting innocent people than your head really is up your ass. Wake up, there is a deep sickness that is rotting America away from the inside. This is the culture of violence and greed. But you're all worried about the Muslims. I say take a good hard look at yourselves before you throw stones. Oh yeah, and I guess I have to say this to appease you idiots: Islam sucks! It's just as bad as Christianity actually. If not worse....
And V the K: man you are the king of dopes, aren't you? So no one has been shot and killed at a gay pride day parade....So what the hell is your point? Seriously, your logic is about as developed as a three year olds. My five year old could out wit you in no time...I'm serious....you are slow.

Those damn Christian suicide bombers blowing people up like crazy, Damn!!!
I mean its only Christian countries, chock full of Christians, that has criminals who commit senseless acts of murder. If we abolished Christianity - we could abolish crime.
...So Anonymous when are you going to kick your crack habit?
Here's the point for you...
Homosexuality is a capital offense in some Muslim countries, yet not in any Christian one.
Apostasy is also a capital offense in some Muslim countries, but not in any Christian one.
Etc...
There is a Dark Ages in the Muslim world. Whats wrong with shedding some light on it and pointing out that there is a need for reform? Are you against reform for the Islamic faith?
Have you seen what a lot of Immams say in the Middle East (and sometimes here in the West)?
This is where you will make the inevitable comparison to Pat Robertson. Compare quote below to anything that Robertson has said...
Cleric Al-Qarni told Iqra TV on 12/26/05:
"I pray to Allah that He will make the enemies fall … and that He will destroy the Jews and their helpers from among the Christians… We curse them … and pray that Allah will annihilate them, tear them apart, and grant us victory over them… Throats must be slit and skulls must be shattered. This is the path to victory, to shahada..."
The same cleric was invited back to the same TV station and made another hate-filled lecture in which he said the following about the Jews, "the brothers of apes and pigs,” and Christians should not be slaughtered only if they convert to Islam."
That is a respected cleric who teaches his flock such vile hatred. There's a lot more where that came from. Try me or get real.

Anonymous I think you're being rather foolish. People who are mentally ill and violent have existed throughout history. They come from all sorts of backgrounds, and have all sorts of religious or anti-religious beliefs. They exist both here and in other countries.
For example:
In recent years -- particularly since 1997, when a 14-year-old boy cut off the head of an 11-year old and left it at the entrance gate of his school -- Japan has experienced a rising tide of serious youth crimes, including arson, assault, rape, manslaughter and premeditated murder.
--The Washington Post.
Or notice that a "suicide shooter" in Finland identified himself as an ATHEIST:
In the rambling text posted on the site, Auvinen said that he is "a cynical existentialist, anti-human humanist, anti-social social-Darwinist, realistic idealist and god-like atheist."
--from cnn.com
Sounds like an atheist suicide bomber, er, shooter.

Also, Mr/Ms Anonymous, before starting a rant against the second amendment, you may want to read up on the failure of gun control laws. You could start with this article describing gun control in Britain:
"Handguns were outlawed by the Government in the year after the Dunblane massacre in 1996, but the number of crimes involving handguns has more than doubled since the ban, from 2,636 in 1997-1998 to 5,871 last year."
