Gallup Confirms Link Between Conservative Politics and Sanity
This should come as no surprise. From Gallup:
Fifty-eight percent of Republicans report having excellent mental health, compared to 43% of independents and 38% of Democrats. This relationship between party identification and reports of excellent mental health persists even within categories of income, age, gender, church attendance, and education.
The sanity gap between Republicans and Democrats is striking:

Of interest to mental health professionals, Gallup suggests that "party identification appears to have an independent effect on mental health," unaffected by other variables. This could mean that if crazy people stopped wallowing in moonbattery and embraced Republican values, some of their muddled minds would clear up.

As a conservative who works with a whole crew of leftists, I can attest to the validity of Gallup's survey results. The degree of neuroticism, control-freakiness, internal fears stemming from atheism, pill-poppin' needy behavior, selfish "me first" attitudes and desire to make others miserable is incredibly high among that group. Tolerating these people is depressing as hell. For my next job interview will definitely look closely at finding co-workers not of THAT ilk. Life's too short to put up with folks who should shoot themselves to spare the remainder of us from their negativity.

It's just like Dr. Savage says: Liberalism is a mental disorder.

This goes right along with the article that Van posted some time ago about the large number of "Liberals" who are dependent on medications of one or more kinds.

Of course conservatives have greater mental health. I would be crazy too if I had to bitch about EVERYTHING all day long and get frustrated when the Blame Bush-heads get thwarted at every turn.
That said, I think they should really do an independent evaluation on volunteers. That way we can have 3rd party and then finally shut the moonbats and nutroots up about how they are so much better than the rest of us.
This message brought to you by your mentally healthy friendly neighborhood white male conservative.
Sorry for double post - a couple of glaring typos were found.

Conservatives (At least the ones I have associated with) have a philisophical outlook: "Change what you can, accept what you can't change". That is, we tend to look upon life as a challenge with tasks to complete, while Liberals look upon life as a game that must be "won". Many will unknowingly say that "guilt" drives them and it's more important to "CARE" about a bad situation than to do something about it. To be "socially aware" places them above the "common herd" and makes them "special". Thus they get "karma points" (or something).
That said, let me add "YOU'RE JUST JEALOUS THAT THE VOICES TALK TO ME!"
