Does Divorce Cause Global Warming?

Here's news that will horrify Tinseltown glitterpigs, known for their 6-month marriages and righteous belief in global warming: Divorce is bad for the environment.

The Sunday Times reports:

Scientists have quantified for the first time the extent to which divorce damages the environment. The researchers found that the combined use of electricity across the two new households created rose 53% while water use was up by 42%.
Across America — one of 12 countries studied — divorced households used 73 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity in 2005 that could have been saved if the families had not split up. That is equivalent to about a fifth of Britain's consumption.

Somehow I doubt this will be enough to make the Hollyweird set take their wedding vows seriously.

On a tip from Wiggins.

In fact, they have cause and effect mixed up. Global warming causes divorce. As moonbats get more and more terrified and angry, they get more irritable with each other, accuse each other of emitting too much carbon, and end up divorcing each other.

Meanwhile, fighting the "obesity epidemic" also causes global warming. Every pound lost by a health nut or browbeaten previously happy plump person, has to be emitted as evil carbon.

The way to save the planet clearly is to forget about AGW, and love your spouse as they age and spread a little. And smile.

Meanwhile the nazis continue their specious attack on cooked food via their latest killer chemical, acrylamide. Toast is now verboten, as are roast potatoes. Don't even think about french fries. Bon apetit!

(Note the Trojan Number of 120,000. Someway down the article we see the actual number of cancer cases in the data dredge- a mere 300. Junk science par excellence).

Here's the church claiming that a chair causes pregnancy, so why not?

"The researchers found that the combined use of electricity across the two new households created rose 53% while water use was up by 42%."

Huh? Two households only use about 150% as much as one, rather than 200%? And presumably bathe less, wash fewer clothes...

Or was electricity total use up 306% (53% increase over expectable 200%)??
