Countries Run by Moonbats Shaken Down for $Billions Under Kyoto
Lucky for us our Senate was wise enough to vote 95–0 not to ratify the pointless Kyoto protocol back during the Clinton days. Otherwise we would be punished for our economic growth, like certain other countries:
Japan, Italy and Spain face payments of as much as $33 billion combined for failing to reduce greenhouse-gas emissions as promised under the Kyoto treaty.
Pay up, suckers! Too bad polar bears will never know the difference, despite the sacrifice taxpayers make on their behalf in countries run by fools.
On a tip from V the K.

Just as a perspective on this, that's approximately the same sum as my country's (the UK) annual defence budget, with which we're currently trying to assist the US wage wars against Islamists in Afghanistan and Iraq.
Also, worth mentioning that this "fines" are actually, as pointed out in the orginal article, an obligation on the countries to buy carbon credits. In other words, an obligatory state transfer of money from the productive economy (industries and individuals) to the unproductive parasitic sector via taxes.
Al Gore sells carbon credits. I'm sure that's just a coincidence.

And people wonder why states like Florida let you blow a robber to Kingdom Come when they break into your house. Japan, Spain and Italy should give the UN the middle finger! Tell the 'International Community' that they can have their money if they are brave enough to take it by force.

Yet, President
Bush is the blame for US not signing Kyoto treaty in 1997. Go figure.

Kyoto is all about wealth redistribution. That's it. That's all it ever was. It's eco-communism.
