Vilsack Admits: SCHIP Is Backdoor Socialism
Posted by Dave Blount at November 18, 2007 5:05 PM
It's official: the SCHIP program that Democrats keep trying to expand is a Trojan horse for sneaking socialized medicine past the voters, leading to the nationalization of one seventh of the American economy. I've pointed this out in the past here, here, and here. Now we have it straight from the horse's hindquarters. Here's Iowa Governor Tom Vilsack, as transcribed on Michelle Malkin and available on audio here:
I think there is going to be a commitment to universal coverage. I don't think it's necessarily going to be a sector by sector process. I think you either need to go in whole hog or not. We tried to sort of squeeze the middle here with doing children and doing seniors, and trying to squeeze it. If anything happens, it would more likely look something like this: you would extend eligibility for children from 200% of poverty to 300% of poverty, and create resources to insure the parents of those children.
No wonder Milksac fell on his turkey-necked face as a presidential candidate. Democrats should know better than ever to admit to their actual objectives. If the public understood their agenda, not only would they not be elected, they would be fortunate to escape the tarring and feathering they richly deserve.

"Think of the chiiiildren." Tom Milquetoast attempts to sneak communism past the voters disguised as Winnie the Pooh. |
