Rachel Marsden and the Hugo Chavez Democrats

The totalitarian moonbats at Daily Kos are exuberant. Possibly due to their jihad against her, conservative Rachel Marsden has been fired from the Toronto Sun after writing weekly columns for two years.

The Kostards are delighted that she no longer appears on the Sun's columnist list, yelping with joy that the paper "re-wrote history" — i.e., erased her, Stalin style, just as the Democrat Party's Nutroots base would do to anyone who won't guzzle their toxic Kool-Aid with sufficient enthusiasm.

Moonbats' special ire was aroused when Marsden wrote an excellent piece endorsing waterboarding for the terrorists liberals so cherish.

But Rachel is still kicking. Her Sun Media Column Statement:

Attention terrorists and Islamofascists: You can now read the Toronto Sun without having your delicate sensibilities offended, as my weekly column is no longer with Sun Media. I am currently exploring US syndication and other venues for the column. In the meantime, you can continue to read it here at RachelMarsden.com, every Monday. And yes (to respond to some of your queries), after more than 2 years of writing weekly for the Sun, I've been under a new Editor-in-Chief, Lou Clancy, since October 5th, who comes from Canada's most liberal newspaper: The Toronto Star. My column about Islam was spiked on his first day at the job. Best of luck to any principled conservatives who remain.

Although this is surely only a temporary setback in Marsden's career, there is certainly something ominous about the thugs LOTUS blog refers to as "Hugo Chavez Democrats" — unhinged bullies who will not rest until anyone who disagrees with them has been silenced.

Going to Kos is like reading "Alice in Wonderland." It's so ridiculous and surreal that people like that can exist. All I see on their page are posts attacking Marsden and her advocacy of water-boarding.How dense can people be?

Ah, here's a charming fellow, quoting "Human rights are not negotiable." Yes, well, a terrorist who wants to kill and harm innocents for a religious vendetta is not a human, but an animal

Anybody check out this moonbat creation yet?

OT - how's this for some serious, mind-numbing Campus Moonbattery:

American students seek true view of Middle East By Will Rasmussen
1 hour, 25 minutes ago

http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20071114/ts_nm/egypt_usa_students_dc_1

.... "I wanted to understand how we got into a position where we were invading a country with no real reason," she said. "I wanted to get a first-hand look and I didn't trust the information that the U.S. media was reporting."...

... Many students say they came to the Middle East to try to understand the widespread anger in the region over U.S. policies. Most say the Arab world does not resemble the violent place they say the U.S. media often portrays....

etc. etc.

Not violent. Go over there without them knowing you are there to kiss their a** and they'll bowl with your head.

Ugh. Now global warming is blamed for the extinction of the dinosaurs.

Scott: Ugh! Yet another AGW non-connection connection. One hopes these Moonbats will eventually out-hyperbole one another, and pretty soon, no one will take anything they say seriously.

Hate to tell TIME, but it's now a virtual 100% certainty that an asteroid or comet fragment is totally responsible for the extinction of the dinosaurs 65 million years ago, allowing the ascendance of the mammals. Yeah, it did get REAL hot there, immediately after the impact, but it sure as Hell wasn't "global warming" like TIME and their enviro-wacko buddies mean "global warming."

Yeah but...

Does RACHEL HAVE A PHONE #? :-)

Why are conservative women so good looking while liberal women all look like Rosie O'Dumbass or Cindy Shithand or Hitlary Clittongue? Hmmm?

Posted by: Jimbo at November 13, 2007 8:46 PM

As a grad student, I wish that I had money to support Rachel's effort against the MSM...but I don't. Still, I'll say that I admire her views, agree with everything that I've heard her say, and that she is incredibly hawt (in the vernacular of modern pop culture). I wish her the best in her future pursuits.

Jimbo, check out that Katrina Vandenhooval (SIC) at The Nation. She's unbeleivable till she opens her mouth.

OT: Now there's a war on Thanksgiving to go with the War on Christmas.

Myth #11: Thanksgiving is a happy time Fact: For many Indian people, “Thanksgiving” is a time of mourning, of remembering how a gift of generosity was rewarded by theft of land and seed corn, extermination of many from disease and gun, and near total destruction of many more from forced assimilation. As currently celebrated in this country, “Thanksgiving” is a bitter reminder of 500 years of betrayal returned for friendship.

Hey, isn't the term 'Indian' offensive? I'm sure they meant 'Native American.'

To skh.pcola:
Yes, Vandehoover has always been a "hottie".
However, I respect her for her trust fund; and her ability to show it off with nuance.
She's a Trust Fund Trotsky; how rich kids can let others know she has $ignificance with mentioning the Commas that punctuate her existence.

Right-wing blogs like this one amaze me. The tone is always that of a kind of underground resistance movement bravely fighting the all-powerful left-wing media forces of evil.

And yet ... Fox News is at the top of the ratings and has been for years; Republicans have been in power for 19 of the last 27 years; George Bush got practically ALL the media to follow his lead lock step on just about everything he wanted from 2001 on; the loudest, most visible political pundits come from the right; and as Ann Coulter will NEVER tire of telling you, all her books, published by one of the most reputable publishers in the world, have been "New York Times bestsellers."

Where is this all-powerful media that's trying to muzzle free speech? Every utterance from the left is taken, without exception or consideration, as either stupid or a lie, while anything from the right is unquestioned gospel. This implies insecurity and defensiveness, not strength.

For Daily Kos to take credit for Rachel Marsden's demise at the Toronto Sun is a gross oversimplification. I say that as a Sun insider. Ms. Marsden was controversial, which most papers court, but stepped over the line one too many times, at which point her presence became counterproductive. That's just one reason she was let go — not the least one — but only one.

Wayne, what the fuck does that have to do with Katrina Vandehooval?

Posted by: Donald at November 14, 2007 2:28 PM

For Pete's sake, people, her name is Katrina vanden Heuvel.

Posted by: Jim Bowie at The Alamo at November 15, 2007 8:31 AM

Yeah! I'm with Donald!
Get back to Vander Hoover!
