Poll Suggests Epidemic of Insanity
No wonder Al Gore et al. reckon us gullible enough to swallow the global warming hoax. From the New York Post, via Michelle Malkin:

In the Scripps Howard/Ohio University poll cited above, only 30% consider it "not likely" that our government allowed 9/11 to happen to have a pretext to invade Afghanistan and Iraq, despite our having no other reason to go into Afghanistan, and our needing no excuse to go into Iraq, which was systematically violating our ceasefire agreement by shooting at our planes, and had even attempted to assassinate a former president.
The tinfoil-hat–wearing, Kool-Aid–guzzling, spittle-spewing lunatics at Daily Kos triumphantly proclaim: "We are the center." The way moonbattery has been eating away at our national sanity, they may soon be right.
On a tip from Cheetah.

Well, the US isn't completely crazy - the approval rate of Congress is down around 11%.
Just think about three times as many Americans believe in flying saucers as believe their elected legislators are doing a good job!

Oh, I don't know about that. Apparently Canada is stealing our supply of Moonbats.
Good riddance!

Actually, a big part of that migration to Canada is oil engineers. Since the moonbats won't let us drill anywhere in the United States, they have to look elsewhere for work.

I guess this is more support for the Exit Mundi theory that civilization may end with humanity going stark ravng mad.

"Is humanity going insane? Although it seems to weird to be true, there are some quite serious clues that the civilized world will one day fade out in mass insanity.
Just picture it: a world full of nutcases. On the streets, you’ll see people flapping their arms and shouting they’re airplanes. In the president’s office, a moron will say: `I wonder what this button does’ – and promptly start a nuclear war. Others will kill themselves, jumping from buildings to prove they can fly, shooting each other up for fun, or stepping in front of trains because they think they’re Superman. Admit it. It would be a rather odd way of going out."
As for the gasoline prices, right now they are averaging $3.15 while oil is near $100. After Katrina when oil was "only" $75 or so, it was around $3.20/gallon. If anything oil companies appear to be holding down prices. Most expected to see $3.50-$3.70/gallon by now.

Where was the question?
"Do you believe the world is flat?"
I am having a lot of problems these days with people who actually believe it is round.

Of course the Earth is flat! Just ask anyone at the Flat Earth Society.
