The Sky Is Falling!
The lefties at the U.N. have once again attempted to advance their goal of world government by releasing another hyperbolic report, promising climatic doom in the near future. There will be extinctions, water shortages, flooding, heat waves, hunger, disease, ominous but undefined "abrupt and irreversible changes," etc.
Despite the fact that no global warming has been measured over the past eight years, U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moonbat shrieks like a woman with a rat running up the inside of her dress that the imaginary climate problem is "so severe and so sweeping that only urgent, global action will do." I guess worldwide martial law and a ban on private property might be a start.
While reporting this latest cacophony of clucking from the mendacious Chicken Little brigade, AOL News takes the opportunity to present us with some slides meant to terrify us into abandoning all resistance to the hoaxers and their malevolent agenda. A few samples:

Scared yet? Me neither. The media had better crank it up another notch — except they've already turned the hype up to 11.
On a tip from Mega.

Meanwhile, the fascist imperialist warmongers of the USA have ordered warships into the Bay of Bengal to "assist with cyclone relief". If idiot conservatives could be stopped from joining the fascist armed forces, millions of poor victims of EXXON'S weather warfare would not be helped by uh... fascist... warmongering... Ann Coulter... KKK... rapers of the forest... uh...

Wow...did they seriously try to use a shot of the streets of Venice as evidence of global warming? Amazing.

Bambi-huffers decry hunters shooting wild game and feeding the homless with the meat. This despite the fact that the ecoweenies have long been calling for us to return to the Stone Ages, where hunting wild animals for food was our way of life.

The Greensane crowd of all shades would rather humans die from slow satrvation than poor, overpopulating, plant-depleting deer from a quick bullet to the heart.

Also, Surrendercrat apologist at Time magazine gives the poor marks to audiences for avoiding the snorefest, guilt-trip, 'well intentioned' anti-troop films that have been failing at the box office.

The Time's writer cunningly skirts around the likely real reason cinemagoers are avoiding the defeatist, American-is-the-real-evil movies: Because most Americans are NOT coawrdly, Surrendercrat traitors living in a dream world where ROP terrorists are the misunderstood nice guys and US troops are all Iraqi child-raping monsters.

And, surprise, surprise, surprise, the UN's solution to the "Crisis" of ManBearPig is ... massive amounts of money and power turned over to the UN.

The fact that Venice is sinking has been noted back in the seventies. I hope that it'll stableise.

Using a picture of Venice to demonstrate global warming is like using a picture of the Tower of Pisa to demonstrate that the planet is starting to tilt.

Here's what gets me. Supposing, just for a sec, that the absurd apocalyptic "stop everything and fix global warming before the world explodes tomorrow morning!!!!!" hoax was legit, what makes anyone think that forking money, power, and resources over to the UN's bloated, ineffectual, corrupt bureaucracy could possibly impact the climate in a positive way? What does anyone actually expect them to do - issue another white paper?
The UN has blown through tens of billions of our $, and has to date not done a single, solitary useful thing. Since its founding.
It is high time we all faced up to the fact that the UN was created to help extend American power by creating a web of institutions and alliances to complement our military capabilities in the 1940's, but it long ago went native and paradoxically has become a way for second-rate European powers and a ragtag bunch of third worlders to exert influence and power that they otherwise couldn't possibly have ... all at the US' expense. And we're funding it and housing it. Time to wake up already. The UN is a sick joke. Not as sick as its evil spawn, global warming, but then again, global warming will soon go the way of the pteradactyl, just as soon as the elites get bored with it and decide that they want their SUVs back, whereas the UN keeps biting our ankles decade after decade until we just simple shoot it in the head.

"climate problem is "so severe and so sweeping that only urgent, global action will do."
OK...let's shutdown industrial giants like Samsung, Hyundai, etc. for a start.

Mega, you were doing fine untill the third paragraph. Many Americans, Southeners in particular, were warning from the start that the UN would one day act like a world government that answered to no one but itself.
Unfortunately, many people who should know better, believe that this is what the UN was intended to be.
